Can anyone from DTG confirm fully what was in today's 2nd April update as on the announcement post it says it's solely for one of the German routes? Steam has downloaded an 83mb download today but I have no German routes installed so I'm assuming there must be something in the update that isn't related to the German route mention in the release notes?
Just to confirm as can be seen from the Steam Store I don't own the route in question hence what was in the update sent out to me?
The release notes don't mention anything about any core updates though hence this post. They just say today's update is just for the German route only. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/train-sim-world-6-update-notes-april-2nd-2026.97487/
Feel free to have a look. It clearly states there that there has been a core update. https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/22616622/
Hey folks, As Emmy_MAN said, while the patch mainly focuses on Stuttgart - Heilbronn, it is essentially a core patch. There won't be any real changes to the core game, these are things like version number changes, etc. Nothing exciting to mention or anything that would affect gameplay or you as a player in any way. All the best, Jan
ah and pc editor update i got was adding support for locos and stuff if you have that dlc? version went from 1.0.9 to 1.0.10.
Hmmmm and how many even know of that link you provided? (Bearing in mind that's only for Steam so not an option for console, Windows Store or Epic Store users). I'm going on the more widely available post that was posted on here not a geek page on Steam.
Might be fake news, but I recall that they have announced a certain freight wagon type from one of the DLC-s being pulled into the Core PAK file, also to reduce number of PAKs loaded for Stuttgart on consoles. And this is probably what you are seeing on the update for people who do not own the Stuttgart route. The size difference is too big from steamdb to only be a version bump.
Not sure why that is so surprising. Many of the reused assets (signals, signs, tracks etc) are in core. Another example would be the logic for the different safety systems like PZB, LZB, ACSES etc.
