Probably not, if there is no financial incentive for DTG. If everybody who wants the route has already bought it, there is no point spending money on getting the licence, because it won't generate extra sales. PC players can just use mods.
I guess while the WCML network is still being developed out, then there is still some incentive… Trent Valley maybe the last opportunity for the proper branding; trains could be substituted into the other routes, but updating station branding feels like it would be a stretch (although they did already have the assets before debranding South) agree it feels a stretch at this stage unfortunately
The brand recently changed hands to DfT ahead of the Great British Railways launch so it's uncertain if that could revive discussions. Although once GBR is up and running I'd imagine things should be much more straightforward.
Although really hoping GB railways is just a meme and we don’t end up with a load of uniform branded stock, either IRL or in game…
It would be nice to see, but it's not something I'm going to get my hopes for, personally. As I've said before, I'd rather have an unbranded add-on than no add-on at all
More straightforward to be told "no" most likely. I hope I'm wrong about that but that's how public V private tends to work in this country.
I know opinions vary on the topic, but would 100% prefer branded routes all the way, especially as a PS5 user where mods aren’t accommodated
Yeah, it remains a mystery as to why LNWR changed their minds at the last minute. Although I wish branding was on WCMLS, it’s never affected my experienced. You can’t miss what you didn’t have after all.
