Fawx JetWash SprattyHeath sorry for the ping guys. But in a future patch/update, can the appropriate upcoming speed boards be added for the freight services? Just been caught doing 45 into a 20.
The boards are there on the line and they show in the HUD, however it is a core bug that they don’t show up in the track monitor. It frustrates me as much as you (trust me) but there’s nothing we can do about it. It’s a core problem.
Don't apologise! Aside from the minor niggle, the route is vastly becoming my fav. Just crossed over 1.2k miles.
i noticed (on Series X) that for a short period of time all of the interior such as seats, tables and passengers disappeared on the CCTV screen on the guard panel, fortunately when it transitioned to the next coach all came back, just a bit strange as to why this happened.
In guard mode, game was sometimes expecting me to accept in-date tickets to a previously called-at station, sometimes not, if you get my drift!
1. In journey mode, on the full day as a driver in the Medway Valley, 5T72 part 2 is missing, at least on my end. Maybe it is supposed to be that way, but with parts 1 and 3 present, it would only make sense to have part2 there, too 2. I have a question about the crossing in Yalding: Is there a possibility to implement the chance of having to stop there? Or maybe it is implemented and it never happened on the service I drove up to now?! In the manual it clearly states, that we have to be prepared to brake there and it would be a nice touch, similar to the train faults, that once in a while, there would be the need to stop. Just for gameplay reasons... I have no idea if this is a realistic scenario. I absolutely love the route and all the different settings, lightings and possibilities! Thank you, Firefly Simulations!
That fix was made a good while ago but didn’t make the release build. We’re hard at work with a fairly significant patch for the route to come asap, but the priority is the PS5 audio at the moment. We are progressing with that as fast as is possible, but due to the hellishly convoluted way these things are tested on the PS5 it’s dragging on far longer than we ever dared think was possible. If this had been a PC problem we could have had it sorted in 48hrs. The good news is that we are hopeful we have a fix, and will be pushing as hard as possible in the coming week to get it tested and then hopefully out to the players in a patch.
As you are working relentlessly on improving the DLC with our feedback, I might have thought that you already tackled this tiny observation. Thank you! I just wanted to let you know in case you are not aware of it and wanted to suggest the other thing. It really does not bother at all - so please, take your time doing high priority stuff
Even the rain looks so good on this route. But doing a job in August at 8pm and its really dark like middle of the night. Its still light that time in August . Dont know if thats a core or route problem. Still doesn't stop me playing it love it.
Core problem. We have moved it as much as we could (by half an hour, only route to do so to my knowledge) so it certainly shouldn’t be dark at that time IIRC. Basically the game doesn’t take account of local or daylight savings time which is hugely frustrating The rain VFX, wind and rain audio are unique to MVL. Again, I believe that’s also something only done on MVL.
Loving the route so far, Medway Valley is fairly local to me and I've travelled it a few times, been on my wishlist for some time! Attention to detail and realism is incredible; fantastic work Firefly! Thought I'd drop a few observations I've had in case no one's mentioned them yet: The temporary speed restrictions are a nice touch, especially on the MVL services, however on short runs like Paddock Wood to Tonbridge it's a bit annoying getting one every single service. You never get near the top speed as you always have to reduce to 40 in the middle. Also a couple of things about conductor mode: Some of the guard mode services are impossible to complete as either no passengers are on board, or no ticket checks are generated. I've experienced this on a few 375 and 465 services between Rochester and Gillingham. Lastly this might be a thing across all routes with this mode - I haven't played many others yet - however the game expects you to accept tickets where the passenger is travelling in the wrong direction. Had many people board at, say, Maidstone West heading southbound who have tickets for Snodland or Halling. All minor things but worth mentioning; hope it helps
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. There are no cab announcements on Xbox, only what’s fed through from the passengers. I experimented with the audio levels setting passenger announcements to 0 and cab announcements to 100% and the result was no announcements at all. To be honest it sounds ok if the passenger audio is set to 100% but very difficult to hear with the windows open. No big deal but would be nice to customise the levels. Awesome route regardless.
I have a problem on PC/Steam with the door release feature, to release only doors on platforms. Although I chose the "Door Release" as indicated in the manual, all doors open, even if they are far away from the platform. This happens in journey mode and the scenario. Haven't cofirmed it for timetable mode. Am I missing something? I've just tried, in Free Roam, and get the same result. Whichever of the 3 door opening buttons I press all doors will open whether they're at the platform or not.
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, you guessed it, all those problems are core bugs or trains that are not ours. I’ve disabled to TSR’s in my game because they are always 40, always short and always in the same place(s)
Just on this, this SEHS (default game) vs MVL to show the difference. It's far from ideal but as it stands there's very little we can do about it sadly. This is identical conditions, 20:00 on August 15th SEHS MVL SEHS MVL
It's simply down to us adding a halfway house offset to the core time to avoid it being completely dark in exactly this scenario
Can barely hear the horn on the Class 66, even with open cab windows. Not a major problem, but Is there anything coming to fix this.
