This and their recycling/remastering. Whilst the screenshots look great and Liam will have done a good job, what a missed opportunity to completely do the HST the justice it deserves with a fully fledged remake. They could’ve even used this as an opportunity to give such an iconic logo the expert treatment for the first time in the UK. Wasted opportunity.

Not only don’t buy it, but ehz0689 for your information, l will buy it even though it’s a better deal in America. Today on the exchange rate it is £12.50 but we have to pay £12.99!!

It's not a "simple livery pack" it's a new timetable for Riviera line where the HSTs are working the London services, 7 scenarios of weird moves that have taken place or events and additional game play and timetable for GWE. Worth £12.99

by logic then, the GBR class 802 isn't "just a reskin" either, since it will also feature scenarios and timetables in RivieraLine as well as ECML

Nah, the GWR liveries actually exist in real life and offer more then a single livery, and offer complex unique liveries that gives the HST variety. The GBR livery doesn't exist in real life... Plus the GWR livery pack offers authentic scenarios with a level of detail based around real life events such. The GBR 802, is fictitious in every sense of the word and nothing more.

So there's quite a difference between the 2 packs.

Completely agree with Lexie above, it’s pretty ridiculous how much DLC has been released over the last couple of months, not only compounding the texture issue, but also exposing really deep flaws within the third party program surrounding testing practices, QA & build distribution. I think all the lip service DTG does when addressing those problems means nothing when they so quickly pivot to “next DLC out in 2 days!” & absolutely nothing has changed regarding the aforementioned issues.

It really causes issues for me as every single release I'm just bracing for whatever severe technical problem comes with it & I’ll be shocked if this pack comes out cleanly.

I havent had any performance issues if any whilst playing on the PC
The images below basically were all the HST powercars from the , as well as the First Great Western one (which is a branded mod version) and original Great Western railway power car. . I then started to add everything Great Western based (yes even 47484 lol) just a few images.

The most livery you (well I saw) will see, will be the Viynl GWR liveired HST power car. However I did see both the Welsh dragon HST power cars as well. It definitely adds coulor to the already colourful mix of rolling stock on the route now, especially for PC if you have the FGW branding mod installed. :)

Just watching a preview stream by TinTin and Sir Kenneth Grange says 001 on the nose and 002 on the side, aren’t they supposed to be the same number?

They are different. The power car is 43002, but the nose number is the classic 253001 number.

Liam has already corrected this in his own post..

But for further context, originally I believe the HSTs were classified as multiple units and numbered in the Class 253/254 range and numbered appropriately and obviously 253001 was the first production HST so the '001' is appropriate for a heritage inspired set. Later on they were reclassified as locomotives and were reclassified as Class 43s and numbered on from there (I believe it was renumbered 43002, as the prototype HST locomotive was the '001'. I stand to be corrected, but I believe I am correct.)

Thanks, every day is a school day, I incorrectly assumed they’d match. Thanks for the explanation.

As can be seen with this photo of 42002 I took in 2016 at Ledbury. Screenshot_20260415-175425~3.jpg

I love HSTs and my happy memories of the railways of the South-West of England are of HSTs on London (2+8) and Cross Country (2+7) services. Riviera Line never quite scratched that itch, because the very short HST formations mean they barely notice the steep banks and the fact they're on local stopping services rather than long-distance expresses just doesn't feel right.

I'm not really interested in re-creating one-off 'specials' though - I'm interested in recreating regular scheduled services - so this pack held little interest for me, until Yambam's comment above made my eyes light up.

Is it correct though? I watched the YouTube stream but they didn't scroll through the available timetabled services as they usually do - just used the search function to jump straight to one they were driving - which was a special. Are there also regular timetabled services for 2+7 and 2+8 HSTs included in the pack?

    Thank you.
