Today i will be suggesting the York to newcastle (73 miles) section of the ecml. There are 3 TOC that I could find that regularly stop between these two destinations those being Cross Country, LNER and TPE Trains operated include, Class 220/221 XC Class 800/801 LNER class 802 TPE Services and stations York, Northallerton, Darlington, Durham Chester-le-Street Newcastle. There are 58 cross country train per day between York and Newcastle class 220/221 56 LNER service per day between york and Newcastle class 800/801 48 Transpennie express trains per day between York and Newcastle Tpe 48 trains per day York, Thirsk ,Northallerton Potential Extension to Sunderland extra 10 miles from Newcastle Grand central york to Sunderland 6 trains per day class 180/221 LNER also serves 1 tpd to Sunderland Backdating/licenses I am aware Arriva (XC and GC) licence may be hard to acquire so these services could be turned into either LNER/TPE Services or be unbranded which I personally do not mind. Backdated This route could be set a couple years back with class 43s and 225s in LNER or East coast liverys
Yes, this. If any further sections of the ECML are attempted, then the Deltic and its era are the monumental and iconic feature we are looking for, along with the Tyne bridges of course!
Ideally, we'd have both at the same time ! Some people here complain that there's too much content being released because they can't afford to buy it all at once. It's also in the developers interest not to release too much content. That way, you buy what's available, whereas if you can choose, you only take what you're really interested in...
We 100% need this section of the ECML, but not present day. Either early 1980’s with the Deltic/HST crossover or 1990’s with the Valenta still operational. It’s criminal we don’t have a Deltic in the game after nearly a decade
A possible extension from Darlington to bishop Auckland via shildon . Pass Hitachi and locomotion museum
Hey guys I appreciate you coming back to this suggestion Since we have the 800/801/220 and 802s inbound I reckon this could happen in the near future I'm sure a lumo 803 would spice it up a lil
I'd still like to see a contemporary transpennine route, perhaps extending to York, which would provide a handily reusable station for future ECML routes. The TPE livery remains my favourite look for those Hitachis.
