Road Map Train Sim World 6 Roadmap - April 2026

I’m not sure this can be confirmed. This year has seen two new games being developed and a couple of quite serious bugs in the core of TSW that need addressing. All of that could have led to less TSW content short term just for this cycle and normal service could be resumed once that’s all over with. It would take a longer period of not producing much TSW content and no new games being developed before I would say they are becoming primarily just a publisher.

 

I've seen TSRs that weren't 40.

 

It's almost as if the DTG devs are transitioning over to their UE5 replacement for TSW.

 

It feels like most of these "core features" just exist to at least somewhat justify yet another yearly x+1 release. Once it's out it has done its purpose. Fire and forget.

That is a good selection. And there is more stuff that has been discussed over and over and over again but never have we received a patch on. E.g.

- AI Class 66 with warning lights on
- External camera off by 90 degrees on Class 66
- layering issue on Southeastern Highspeed on Gen8
- light in a tunnel on Pfalzische Ludwigsbahn
- glowing OHLE equipment in tunnel close to New Street on BCC
- missing triangle in EMT livery on MML Class 43 on Gen8
- red light issue on ECS service to Ashford on SEHS

Every single one of those issues persists for more than one year (in some cases several years) and are well documented in the forum. A company like Sony or Electronic Arts would literally freak out over such a track record.

Has the 104 for Peak Forest been axed and, if so, why?

 

As far as I know, the developer has put the project on indefinite hold, citing a change in personal circumstances. So yes, effectively, it's been canned.

 

I get quite a few 60s on Stamford.

 

Finally got round to listening to bits of the roadmap stream, and in the Q&A was a question about the number of releases in March. Alex's response was basically that they don't start with a packed schedule, they know it's not the best way to have so many releases at once, and that dates are always moving around due to testing, improvements, personal reasons etc. - and even more complicated by the needs of 3rd party developers as well as DTG. So it's a complicated web with a lot of strands. Full response starts here (the timestamp in the stream kicks in nearly 30 seconds later, for some reason).

 

Please fix RailDriver support for TSW6.

 

Needed: ATSF GP60Ms and GP60Bs; UP, SP, D&RGW, ATSF, and BNSF GP60 Spartan Cabs; also patched units for UP and BNSF

 

Does this mean the green livery of the 802 for the Riviera Line that comes with standard TSW6 edition will be replaced with this one? Or will both be available?

 

There is still not a single sign of life from the BR 232... So sad...
