Mainly a thread to wonder about where the engines we'll get will "Wake up" in Timetable Mode, I guess. Where they sleep and start their days. I mean the remaining two spots at Tidmouth Sheds are either for Henry and Edward or Nia and Rebecca. On the topic, I remember thinking back when the game wasn't out yet that Diesel was going to take one of the sheds at Tidmouth. Anyone else think it's a little weird Diesel starts his day on that little siding at Tidmouth Sheds?
So My guess would be Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordan, James, Percy and Emily will be based at Tidmouth Duck, Oliver/Toad, Daisy and Ryan based at Arlesburgh across 2 different sheads Toby based at Arlesdale, Mavis based at Ffarquhar Quarry, Stepney and Flora based at Great Waterton Donald, Douglas, Harvey, Arthur, Murdock and One other based at Knapford Bill, Ben, Salty, Porter and Boco based at Berndam Docks. Not sure about the rest for the standard gauge engines
There aren’t any sheds at Knapford in game, If Thomas, Percy and Toby get their 3 lane shed at Ffarquhar like in the books and a good proposal on discord suggested then that’d open up spaces at Tidmouth for Duck, Donald and Douglas
I know Arlesdale, narrow gauge and Culdee Fell have their own sheds, but I do think the sheds at Crovan's Gate could do with some improvements. The Crovan's Gate section of the map will likely get an update when the Skarloey line comes, the narrow gauge platforms are currently too high and you can't enter the shed.
Not yet, but i wouldnt be surprised if we do get sheds at Knapford, as they appear in the RWS, TV and CGI eras. I wouldn't be surprised if we get sheds at Ffarquhar either at some point.
I think it comes down to if Dovetail plan on making changes to the existing map, I don't know if they've ever made drastic changes to the main Train Sim games before. For there to be sheds at Ffarquhar, they'll have to shift some scheduled stops and tracks around. The current sidings there are used for trucks and coaches. One spot I think will be used is that one shed currently at Knapford Sidings for Phillip, the little diesel boxcab in CGI.
Thats because for the majority of the train sims they have made their arent that many major changes irl. On Sodor however, there were some big changes made across franchies's life time. The fact Ffaquhar sheds to not be included, despite them existing in all 3 series tells me that they plan to make changes in the future.
