In relation to this list of patch notes https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/train-sim-world-6-update-notes-april-24th-2026.97804/ Can I ask where are the following updates that apparently are ready to go? Manchester Airport Commuter - Ready since November, still not released? Have DTG decided to cancel this update to make ATS look bad? You've already got an update out for the Medway Valley line, where is the consistency on releases???? ATS Class 90 (an update on progress would be nice). WCML South - Texture optimisation, bug fixes and route updates. Cardiff City Network - Route optimisations and improvements. Rivet Class 170 Sound update across their range. WCML over Shap bug fixes. Burying the head in the sand and not updating the community approach is what is causing the issues within the community. I'm sure there are plenty of patches and fixes I've missed and I'm sure everyone else will chime in to provide them. Also is this the "big one" that's been spoken about?
Apologies I don't have more info! But as soon as we can say, we'll be able to provide further updates to the community.
Could the SEHS been the MVL update? I know they updated SEHS for some content in MVL and I believe the audio was unit releated wasn't it?
Hmm, not sure about this. I can see it's having an update, could be the case that because of layering that's been hit by some of the same fixes. Can check!
Hi Harry, Can I ask what the specifics of the new announcement voices are for ECW? Are they just the platform announcements as it's a little vague in the update post
Also these updates are massive I've got a 6gb update for ECML on xbox. As said SEHS was a big one as well.
Will New Haven Line be receiving fixes soon? Also, what fixes are being applied to West Coast Main Line South? I did not see it in the official patch update
when we can expect a fix for ALP-45DP "the next stop is" announcements? which was broke by an update LAST YEAR!
Hey folks - in terms of update size this doesn't usually mean the size of the DLC is bigger. If anyone has ever owned a smart phone and seen there's been an update that requires '11gb storage' (as someone who takes far too many photos and videos, I frequently hate that I need space for an update) just means it requires that much to actually download, not that the update is 11gb itself. I'm not 100% clear why this happens, I just know that size doesn't = amount when it comes to software updates!
Can't believe still no fixes for the Class 90 AWS being unable to be acknowledged on controller. I really WANT to buy it but no dice until it's fixed
This happens because in many systems, I know for certain at least that this is the case with consoles, a patch doesn't just instantly rewrite the original file. It actually has to effectively create a duplicate of the original file to act as a data backup in the event something goes wrong with the process and it has to revert itself, this is why in most cases you can cancel an update midway through and see no negative effects. So a duplicate/backup is created, then depending on the system either the patch either applies itself to the original file with the duplicate being a backup or it applies itself to the new duplicate and then copies that onto the original i.e. the final 'installing' part of the patch, then the duplicate is deleted when the process is finished. But obviously space is still needed in order to store that duplicate file for the time required to complete that process.
Never going to complain about a patch that fixes bugs but it’s a shame that the correct day 1 class 90 build couldn’t be included. I get that ATS want to make further improvements but right now I’d settle happily for the release I saw previewed and based my purchase on please.
Still no raindrops on DRS class 20 windscreen whilst moving.... the single (and imo the only noticable) immersion breaking bug in this DLC and it hasn't been addressed. How is this even a bug? I don't recall this ever being an issue with a previous TSW loco release.
I’m away again… but see Riviera line has some improvements.. look forward to seeing these in action. And others that’ll improve the game. I to would buy the Class 90 but not until it’s fixed.. ATS should be ahead of the curve here.. The nuclear model.. with these updates is it a good add-on? Maybe some folk think I don’t like the game.. but I do! You just want it to work as it should! I’ve spent quite a bit in the three months I’ve had this game.
Not sure if this latest patch has broke them, but how long has Manchester Piccadilly had no announcements at all? (I know that most of them were...the next train is for Manchester Piccadilly only)..fingers crossed that will be fixed in the next patch.
It vaguely says this in the point underneath it. "Added new announcement voices for the ECW remaster". The fact they are two separate points means it isn't immediately clear.
Is the fix for blurry textures on consoles still coming to TSW6 as planned? We are almost into May and no news yet. Many thanks in advance.
i agree with that, but on too many occasions now we’ve been told that something will be fixed ‘soon’ or ‘in the next update’ and lo and behold, it doesn’t get fixed
I've purchased Medway Valley after the PS5 Audio patch. And yes, what a stunning route! A bit of a letdown was the absence of patches for the Stara Paka - Liberec route. For the "A Bit of Shunting" scenario, in example. Any preview from Vector Simulations? EDIT: DTG Harry You've been very helpful in the forum, possibly you overlooked my question. Usually I don't ping DTG members, but could you check if we have a preview for those bug fixes? A Bit of Shunting Part1 finishes with a freight report to be generated somewhere down below in a coal mine(?) 394m deep. It's a show stopper for completing the Mastery on that otherwise marvelous route.
Harry thank you for interacting with this thread, even if you have nothing to share and come in and crack a joke or 2, and just say what you've said, it's appreciated by many of us.
I can crack a joke! I just want to be mindful that I am taking it seriously - and the forums admittedly are only a small part of my job - but I like being here for the highs and for the lows!
Why am I still not hearing any platform announcements on the east coastway remaster. I thought this had been sorted with this update. Its totally dead nothing at all. I'm on pc.
Some people should feel lucky they don't get permabanned for the overall negative feel they bring to this forum. Honestly I don't know how DTG Harry puts up with some of the snide replies here... Yer a wizard, Harry
I'll check on this tomorrow as it's late (just finished a game of D&D and saw this pop up), but I'll ask the one question I ask to all PC players after an update; do you have any mods installed?
We just like to keep an eye on them! We're always watching. (But we are ok with constructive feedback and discussions, it's when people are entirely unhelpful or insulting that it becomes more difficult to help or track)
I don't know how old you are but you might want to change your way of asking, especially as you don't even bother telling us which platform you're playing on... For the benefit of DTG and everyone else, I'm on Steam and just did three timetable runs on ECW. I can confirm I have no issues and can hear the announcements on the 171, 313, and 377/3 (not using the Passenger Announcements mod). JB
Hiya, It's disappointing to read that a lack of rain drops on windows negates all elements of content provided with the Cargo Line Vol.5 Nuclear pack. However, would it be possible for you to expand on what is missing exactly? The below images were taken on the current public vanilla version of the pack. Rain drops everywhere, under wiping and non-wiping conditions, in motion and stationary. https://flic.kr/p/2sa8B2b We'd be happy to look into any concerns if they can be identified. There is a feedback thread which I keep a close eye on, located here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/cargo-line-vol-5-nuclear-feedback-thread.95341/
Pressing "L" in the Class 313 still causes the AWS bell to sound... Also the announcement "Welcome aboard the Southern service to Seaford" should be "Welcome aboard *this* Southern service to Seaford"?
Jezzz the guy was asking a question and you jumped down his throat. All you had to say was “hi what platform are you on as I’m on pc and I’ve got the announcements” or words to that affect rather than questioning their maturity
Hi Adam Thank you for your response to my post, and the links provided. My apologies if my wording was a little harsh. I can still confirm though that on PC, and with no mods installed, the raindrops only appear on the front-end windscreens whilst the locomotive is stationary. As soon as it starts to move, no more drops appear except those that have already accumulated, with or without wipers running. If I press the '8' key, then return to the cab camera, the windscreens are completely dry. When I bring the loco to a stop, the rain immediately begins to accumulate on the windscreen again as intended. I did see another player mention the same issue in the feedback thread when it first released, so had assumed it was a common bug for all with this pack, and therefore had hoped it would be patched. I can say that otherwise this is a nice pack and locomotive. I am pretty forgiving with bugs in general, but an problem such as this really is a make or break issue which I find it difficult to ignore. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this issue? Kind Regards Kevin
