Presumably similar to the sound “squelching”, as I call it, we get on PC. Personally, I don’t think they know how to fix it.
Am I missing something with the safety systems on this route? I’m well versed in German safety systems (or at least I think I am? Maybe I’m not as much as I’d like) but whenever I get a 1000hz and I press acknowledge, the train shuts down and I can’t recover it. I always play with safety systems on so it’s baffling me
Do the br642 irl take that long to speed they take forever on this route. Also its hard to keep on schedule on this route.
Can you please specify which train you're using, and where on the route this happened? I haven't encountered this particular issue... yet There are different versions equipped with different motors, but the 642's here in my region do accelerate a bit faster than the ones ingame. I think that's also part of why it's so hard to stay on schedule (the schedule is very tight regardless, there's absolutely no margin for errors).
it happens with both trains. It’s as if there is a delay because even when I do acknowledge (on either controller or keyboard) it puts the breaks on unless I do it within in instant. I really wanted to like this route but I don’t think I do
Hmm that's odd. Never had those kind of problems with any train on this route, or on any route for that matter. On the 612, the PZB controls act a bit sluggish, but on the other trains it's much more responsive. Do you acknowledge PZB after passing the signal or magnet, or are you keeping it pressed while passing and releasing shortly after moving past it? The latter is more reliable, and from what I know is the way it's supposed to be done IRL most train drivers I know seem to do both, for good measure. Approach the signal, hold "acknowledge" while passing it and acknowledge again after passing, just to be safe.
