Leave the world behind , Where we’re going we don’t need roads, track or even a map …

may i ask the point of this thread apart from showing that the map is finite, a characteristic that every single route shares?

I remember when I was on Xbox One that used to happen whenever I drove past Wembley Depot area on WCML South

I remember on old MSTS, if you had a route with a long gap between point or crossing nodes, your train would launch in the air after finally reaching the next one. Even happened on the default Marias Pass and became known as Cutbank syndrome after the location. So even back then, stuff was being put out not thoroughly tested and neither the developer (Kuju) or MS ever bothered fixing it.

The solution, such as it was, involved going into the eng and wag file of each item of rolling stock in the consist and increasing the coupler strength to behemoth values. Even then you got a mighty tug and lurch at the points but the train stayed upright and on the ground. When building our own routes, you basically had to ensure no more than 6 miles between junction nodes which meant either putting in fictional spurs or sidings until later on X-Tracks came about and gave us invisible points.

Can’t believe DTG didn’t model the full world with all current rail lines in every continent and country!

That's a very interesting bug, wonder what caused it.

Poor coding by Kuju. Presumably not releasing the accumulation of forces within the train and couplings.
