But that doesn’t really tell us anything we don’t already know. They have given no clue as to how close they are to the finish line. I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if it didn’t appear until after TSW7 or whatever happens with the core game in late summer.
The Roadmap posted earlier in this thread could be simplified to something like this ; TSW6 - "If you've bought it then you already know what's in it so stop asking questions". 0-12 months - "Wait until TSW7 and stop asking questions" Further Down the Tracks - "TSW 8 innit. Answered now so no need for you to ask any questions".
its taking an ages for the class 70 to release, This for me is worth the wait finally something other than a class 66
I think the timetable on this will be one of the most challenging ever done. Although we have seen busy routes elsewhere they are more modern in a clockface fashion meaning that junctions always saw the same patterns... In BR times trains ran when they ran and you didnt just turn up to a conveyer belt style service pattern like seen now even on long distance routes!!
Indeed. Even stations like Wigan NW or Warrington BQ could have gaps of over an hour between trains calling.
They probs will. The parcels shunting at Crewe alone will be immense if they put most of it in. I am not surprised in the slightest at the delay. Other producers would have just done a compromised cut down TT
If it’s anything like SimSig Carlisle I still haven’t managed to play a 24 hour run without losing a portion, having to delete something or amend a train to go without its attachment!
Yeh i get the same thing too, not always tho, but i have found the 158 causes a lot of problems with the DRA, once i hop in the cab and disable it, off it goes, or otherwise it will just sit there for modernity, i run a lot of mods so not sure if its one of those causing it or not, the Scottish routes on my end always struggle a lot mainly at Haymarket.
Again proves the fundamental flaw of the roadmap. Gets hopes up and then angers people when something doesn’t come out when expected.
Unfortunately it's the norm across the gaming industry nowadays, which we all have a hand in creating, buying early access to games, paying full price for BETA versions and hoping for it to be fixed by the time it launches, until that cycle is broken nothing will change, and once an established pattern has been made It's really hard to break.
I was only posting it in response to OP not appearing to know anything beyond that it was on the roadmap in August. You're right of course that we don't know anything about the release date, however I would speculate that we are getting very close to it now seeing as the number of development updates has approached the same as the other two JT routes before they released. For reference Blackpool Branches and WCML Shap both had 7 before release, and Preston - Crewe is currently sitting on 6. If the pattern is to be followed then that would imply one more update coinciding as usual with the next roadmap on Tuesday, followed by release somewhere in the following month.
It would be a rather nice late Spring present. Though the main event for me is going to be the (albeit truncated) Cumbrian Coast with Class 108 DMU - particularly if that gets a new sound set and doesn’t rely on the rather poor Class 101 audio (which sounds nothing like either an AEC or BUT engined DMU).
I use both these mate, they make a big différance, and both work fine with TSW6: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c20-sounds/i2536-class-101-sound-mod https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c20-sounds/i1207-better-class-101-joints
I must give those a try. At one time I did have an unofficial sound mod which went a long way to imparting the classic Met Cam AEC whine, but somehow lost it in a Download folder HD tidy up!
https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c75-utilities/i6822-tsw-addon-manager Is my new best friend LOL For me the 2nd sound mod (joint sounds) is just pure nostalgia of going to work as a teen stood in the guards van with my bike.
A bit OT for the thread but TSW6 did not like the track joint mods in the folder and threw up an error message when first loading the game. First time I've ever encountered that with external mods in the folder. Deleted and now loading okay. The MetCam revised engine sound file didn't have that problem.
It might have been that. Well what I’ll do is just move the mods in and out of the DLC folder when I decide to have a run with the MetCam.
Aye that would work, but so far i haven't had a single crash with that error showing each launch, most crashes i get nowadays are Unreal Engine crashes due to the API software for the TSC-X controller, or the odd crash from overlays conflicting like TSW Route and afterburners overlays not playing nice
