Thought i would create this thread for the upcoming May 2026 roadmap, for any thoughts and speculation as to what could be in it. chat away!
I’ll start off with my speculation/theory Remember, this is just speculation and it’s nothing to take serious I have a feeling there might be more stuff going on with the HST this roadmap, it’s a long shot, Fife Circle might get touched again for an Inter7City DLC, or perhaps a castle set HST pack for South Devon Mainline. There will definitely be more work going on with WCML Trent Valley, possibly more detailed looks into the stations and the 807 this time around? since it was teased not that long ago, I think we could finally witness the Class 70 on this roadmap.
I hope the GP60M comes this month and I'm hoping for the tadami line next month or at the latest in july
Probably the announcement of the imminent release of Ingolstadt. Let's see if they can equip the BR 101 and its carriages with active suspension. Third (3rd) attempt.
The fact they are trotting out JD, who has hardly been seen for months, tells me it is something fairly significant… Glass half full version - with MR out of the picture it’s now all hands on the pump to make TSW better than it ever has been. We will be relaunching the game as a UE5 version in September and good news is, all previous content and DLC will transfer across. To celebrate the forthcoming golden years of TSW, we are proud to announce our first GWR steam route with a Pannier Tank and Hall - Oxford to Fairford and Banbury. Steam physics have been improved and now on a par with the best in TSC. Glass half empty version - It’s all FUBAR. No money left, no staff left, TSW now being wound down with a few essential fixes. No more in house content but 3P’s may upload or sell their content on Steam or independently for PC only. I know which vision I prefer!
JD is only there because Alex is on vacation. And I'd imagine if they waited until he got back you would be one of the 1st ones all up in arms about the delay. From what the year end review for Pull Up entertainment shows DTG are going nowhere fast. They are one of the more profitable branches.
We'll finally see that Inter7City HST that's been rumoured for a while, the GWR 387 that got mentioned a few months ago and the Northern 158 that was apparently supposed to be on last months roadmap, right? Pah who am I kidding
Au contraire! The last few Roadmaps have been about as much use as the horoscope in a daily newspaper. I’m a firm proponent of actually making them less frequent (quarterly?), not announcing forthcoming content until it is not far off being ready to go and then giving the DLC its own announcement slot.
Agreed, most of the times we’re waiting for DLC’s that are ages away, and some of them appear out of nowhere and get released right way
I think it'll be a relatively quiet roadmap, maybe an interview or two with a developer, some more screenshots of of Tadami and Preston-Crewe. But that'll be it aside from updates about updates.
Hopefully getting the final Preston Crewe update from JT, signalling an imminent release. Assuming we get the revelation of the I7C HST for FCL. Also some more updates about Trent Valley. Everything else will just be small updates.
Can someone please tell me what's going on with the Inter7City HST? I've read about it a few times now, where did this Rumor come from?
Class 171/377-3 DLC (before its announcement, of course) and Inter7City were leaked on the Epic Games Database Thread: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/two-brand-new-uk-dlcs-found-spoiler-warning.94106/ The name has been changed to Renoir56 but you can see the original name in the history
The I7C HST has taken so long, wouldn't be surprised if it never turns up. Think we will get the GWR 387 and maybe the Northern 158 (and whatever it going alongside). Maybe at a push whatever ATS next project is.
i suspect dtg are going to announce a filler route that’ll most likely release around july, maybe something like walsall-BIA
Dream Roadmap - WCML Trent Valley coming out later in May, Nose camera added to trains, Class 390 sounds updated. Real Roadmap - Dream on lol we couldn`t be asked.
That's a pretty good guess. Kinda like Glossop a few years ago. I suspect they're fully in production on TSW7, assuming another annual installment is in the works. I hope they address the MR cancellation- how significant of a hit is it to DTG going forward? Relatedly, how are Pullup's financial conditions affecting TSW development, if at all.
it’s probably going to have some impact, but undeniably a lot less than if they’d pushed forwards with it
I strongly suspect Preston - Crewe will feature, and it will be on the included class 86 + Mk2D stock which hasn't had a deep dive article yet.
Hope I'm wrong on this, but looking at how long it is taking to develop Preston - Crewe I wouldnt be surprised if they announce an increase in price.
420 back in 0-3 months pretty please? I mean, just put it there, doesnt need a reason, but only to make it feel less far away.
Maybe... but surely Jamie, Harry or Jan would normally step in. Anyhow all we can do is wait and see what's actually announced tomorrow.
I'd hope not, aside from the route itself one could argue that the Class 20 is a new locomotive given how much has gone into it but the 86 and 47 are not, even if they have a few "tweaks". Considering that they almost certainly (I say this as they have not given us a routemap or anything to suggest otherwise) have not included the line to Ditton/Halewood misses out a large chunk of freight opportunities so bumping the price up for what amounts to a shorter, albeit more busier and complex route is not going to go down well. That said, I'd still begrudgingly pay it since it's the only route in development that I've been waiting decades for. Hmm, knowing how well things are going with DTG and the current TSW I'd actually go for the FUBAR option, let 3rd parties do their thing and let DTG focus on more Sodor Streams but don't fool yourself, they won't bother with essential fixes then just like they don't bother now. They do need to do something with the roadmap though, I like having one but the problem is that communication is still a massive problem. We understand delays happen, look at Preston/Crewe, it was in the 0-3 month window in August 2025, it's now eight months later and it's still in the 0-3 month window. Again, we understand delays happen but surely in October, when it was expected to be released we could have had some update to say there was a delay, same for each passing roadmap since, even bump it to the 3-6 month window if necessary but don't keep us hanging on and getting our hopes up then do a surprise release of something that few people wanted such as another German route or that GBR802...
