People don't want the game to flop, but there's a fear it might if Dovetail doesn't deliver more content. We haven't received any word on when new content will arrive. While more is expected, no schedule or timeline for character releases has been provided. Players want this game to succeed, but if Dovetail doesn't deliver more, it risks failure as players may get bored and the hype could die down.
I agree with the wanting to see a content schedule, even if it was oh next dlc in q3 or whatever that would be helpful. However, a lot of the comments on this thread has just been moaning and putting the game down for the sake of it, with no feedback or suggestions of what they want.
This is exactly what I mean. I know there are plenty that want it to succeed. Most of those people are not posting in this thread. So far people have said 85%+ positive rating doesn’t actually mean it’s well rated (even though it’s over 700 reviews), low steam player numbers at one time mean nobody is playing it on console, and despite the game having just been released the lack of immediate planned DLC means the game is being ignored. I get the 3rd one since DTG posts updates for TSW (which many here complain about as well), but the other 2 are nothing more than just asking the game to be a flop.
tracking people who have unlocked the The Adventure Begins achievement/trophy (for completing the tutorial) on True achievements/trophies
So 2 things to think about with WOS. 1. Unlike the real world which has thousands upon thousands of miles of railway track and different routes, and thousands of locomotives and rolling stock that DTG make into packs. WOS in comparison has an extremely limited number of DLCs due to it only being one IP. So wont have as intensive a release schedule as TSW 2. WOS although it has an older fan base who want to enjoy it for the nostalgia, should be looked at as a gateway to TSW for a new generation of railway fans.
Right. That’ll explain why it’s so far off then because those numbers are very low. True Achievements won’t be seeing all players and not all players play the tutorial and get the achievement for it. I didn’t play the tutorial when I bought the game. I actually watched a video of someone else doing the tutorial and only because I had trouble figuring out what the controls were doing because they aren’t like TSW controls! I can offer a better estimate for Playstation player numbers. There are currently 453 ratings for WoS on the PS Store and it’s currently growing at around 5 new ratings per day. It’s generally accepted that usually only about 2% of players who buy a game will leave a rating so that would point towards there being around 22,500 players who have bought the game on Playstation. That won’t be an accurate number, just a ballpark estimate. It could be half that or double that if a higher or lower percentage of players left a rating for this particular game. I wouldn’t care to guess if it’s higher or lower myself.
you know that "24Hr" timetable ... is nothing more than just a oversized Model train set where you move a goods set from A to B maybe shunt it split it up move it about the yard ... only to come back 3 hours later to take it back to where it came to gess what ... another shunting puzzle with the same Six waggons ....
