for train sim world 7 i feel like lirr should get an upgrade to be more realistic, enjoyable and to meet real life standards. for this one grand central and elmont ubs arena should be added with the third track from floral park to Hicksville and station improvements along the whole map especially stations on the mainline since the ones in the game right now are the old model ones before renovations. there also needs to be more timetables for when grand central gets added because currently on peak hours the lirr takes up 3 tracks on the mainline between Penn station-Jamaica and in game currently the lirr only uses 2 since penn station is the only place they depart from and not also grand central. i also feel like track sounds need to be added with suspension on the m7s and m9s. scenery should also get updated all around the map since most of the scenery in the game right now is outdated from the 2020 version. it would also be nice if we got a small branch added like the far rockaway branch or west Hempstead or even extend the Babylon branch to Wantagh. it would also be nice if the schedules were made to be from 2026 since that's the busiest timetable for the lirr currently. Ai announcements should also get added at stations and for the m7s and m9s just like how the newer released routes are. i really hope everything listed in my suggestion gets added for train sim world 7 that would definitely be the best us route out and would buy no matter what the price is
we definitely need a new version i don't think you understand that the current version in the game is considered a old route it has no ai announcements, old scenery from tsw 2020 in most areas, old stations from tsw 2020 in most areas as well except for the long beach side, no thirdtrack on the mainline and last but not least no grand central or elmont ubs that being said you cant tell me we dont need another version when the version out right now is based on how lirr was in 2019 all of those stations in the game except the long beach side are all from 2019 which is before renovations so please dont say something like that again and im saying this from someone who takes the lirr basically everyday
Did you just forget about LIRR commuter? Which fixed most of this except from wee extras like station announcements
What next? Dresden Leipzig remaster because of the Dresden-Riesa scenery being low'ish quality? Or maybe add the airport branch so there is a reason to pay for the whole thing again? Im sure the community would love that.
There's other routes that could do with being looked at (NTP, BML, TVL etc) before doing another do up of LIRR
Some freight locos and rolling stock would be a great addition to a new LIRR line. What about vintage 1950s-70s LIRR locos/rolling stock, such as RS-3s, Steam locos, etc.? That could be cool to see in game.
everything i listed was talking about commuter, it may seem that commuter is new since it released only 2 years ago but its very much a old route still if u compare it to how it is irl for lirr like the new york-stamford route is 100% realistic way more timetables if u have the harlem dlc and trains use up to 3 tracks just like it is irl, now for lirr commuter that isnt a thing and lirr has more timetables than the metro north irl but in game nope trains only depart from penn station and no grand central is added which takes away a good amount of timetables and like i said before no elmont ubs arena station in game also takes away the realism just read what i said earlier that was all for commuter. commuter was barely a upgrade when u really look into detail all of the stations in game expect for the long beach, far rockaway side are outdated from the tsw 2020 lirr commuter only added a bit more timetables with a new route no real game updates like how lirr stations look now commuter is very much outdated if u compare it to how lirr is irl that being said "LIRR commuter" did not fix all of this since that was what i was using to compare everything i said in my suggestion commuter doesnt have the mainline thirdtrack, no grand central, less timetables then irl, no elmont ubs arena, no station renovations on the mainline, old scenery still from tsw 2020 if u take a look at commuters scenery vs tsw 2020 they are the exact same on the mainline and everywhere else except for the long beach side like i said
Is this suggestion for the paid LIRR 2.0 or the old LIRR route ..(which DTG shouldn’t have charged for the upgrade )
I would love to see a 3.0 LIRR. Mainly because Also I miss the station announcements like on the Stamford route. Currently No AI Amtrak or NJT makes Penn station feel empty too. The grand central extension would be cool as well. I forgot LIRR goes there now. Why doesn’t LIRR show up in grand central on the new Stamford route? However a 3.0 either needs to be extended to ronkonkoma at the minimum. Give us the entire line!!
