£35 is fair, yeah, but I’ve been burned too many times preordering stuff that looked great in trailers and then felt mid after 3 hours… I’m waiting for real player feedback and maybe a patch or two, if it still holds up then sure I’ll grab it, not rushing day one anymore lol
Not sure what platform you will play it on, but on the whole on PS5 after 10 hours of gameplay or so I would say it is really quite well polished. I have however had 2 seemingly random crashes but thankfully these seem to have been avoided by turning the traffic down from 100 to 90.I noticed on one of the crashes as well it was when I was clicking quickly through the many different camera options so could be related to that I would say for the money it is a pretty safe bet and enjoyable. I think once Hamburg is released there will be a really nice variety and I am hoping over time to keep it fresh more lines will come in Berlin too
BTW devs have acknowledged on Facebook the Actron (sp) returning to the start point of the first leg if you load a saved game on a subsequent leg of the tour, is a bug. So hope fully this will get addressed in due course.
Anyone tried the Oberhavel map which is free from Steam Workshop. Caught a clip of it on a Joe Dobson clip this morning and has a more provincial less urban feel to it. Might give it a try later.
Yes its very good, its nice doing some rural runs. Also in the workshop is the Heinsberg Map, this is very good as well.
Yes I had a quick run on it last night, very good. Though I need to sort out my graphics settings again as I reinstalled and it had lost my setup (and save games) from previous. Default is way too bright.
in case anyone’s on the fence about getting this, i’d say go for it. there’s been several patches since release and there’s even a roadmap now of upcoming content. brilliant value game for the same price, in some cases even less than a tsw route
They have me sold on the Enviro 400. Cummins engine and Voith transmission next best thing to a Gardner engine RELH. So long as they capture the sounds correctly.
I could have sworn there was a “International” DLC in the Planned section of the roadmap a while ago. Maybe they’ve removed or changed it. Unless I’m mistaken it for another game but I’m pretty sure it was this.
Changing my stance on The Bus a bit after briefly firing it up yesterday evening. They still haven’t fixed the save/load bug which resets the ticket machine/IBIS back to the first stop of the first leg, on a multi part “tour”. So it’s not just DTG who studiously ignore bugs which drop in the too difficult basket!
Something Bizzare with this I feel like they have attempted a fix... I have had 2 saves on PS5 recently and one of them set it back to the first bit, but the other one knew where it was when loading back in. Has anyone else noticed though the graphics on console have gone a bit wonky since the last update?
Interesting observation. The first time I loaded a save on the second leg it jumped back to the start point and I was able to advance the ticket machine. However the next time after I’d gone a bit further, it reverted to the previously mentioned issue. I’m guessing the workaround is, if you don’t have much time to play, take a maximum two leg tour, do as much of the first leg as you can, save then when you return try and do the rest in one go.
