Hello everyone, I know that the issue with blurry textures is already known and that work is being done to fix it. Still, I find it somewhat puzzling why this problem remains such a big issue on the Xbox Series X. I’ve now selected the revised schedule for the Cologne–Aachen route and reduced the number of layers from 30 to 8, yet I still experience blurry textures after about 5 minutes. (Br 101 expert) Any ideas?
Just chiming in. I've just gotten a new Series X. Installed the GWR remaster. No additional layers. After about 5 minutes the textures are all out of focus and blurry - ballast, walls etc, the trains are all suffering from blurred textures. It's genuinely borderline game breaking.

I think blurry textures have got lot worse over the last few weeks every route now has them from start to finish.
Xbox Series X. All latest updates downloaded. Spawned in one of the new HST pack variants on the Preston to Carlisle route, a route which doesn't usually suffer texture issues. Within 5 minutes the HST is all blurred, both inside and out. The ballast is blurred. The grass and fields of crops are all blurred. Bridges and buildings are blurred. They need to get a handle on this and fast. The game is becoming unplayable.
Not only blurry textures. The game on my Xbox X LOVE*s itself up. It crashes 2 of 4 times on the loading screen when starting. I didn't change or buy anything for weeks. Even older routes are crashing without a reason. It clearly got worse!
Not sure what you mean by this? I'm just posting that it is currently a thing on a route that previously didn't suffer from it to the best of my knowledge, but now does since the remaster.
Are you using "Quick Resume" function maybe ? I know it should work, but have found myself - on Series X too - that it is prone to crashing when using Quick Resume, same kind of crash rate you're experiencing. It's the only game I ever have this issue with.
Yeah I had a similar issue on PC the other day. It seems to happen more in timetable mode than in scenarios (more paths to calculate) but that may just be an impression. I generally just avoid using the save feature altogether since there's only one slot anyway. I don't mind a limit but you'd need something like ten save slots for it to be useable. JB
In timetable mode you have layers and substitutions, as far as I'm aware of, you don't have those in scenario's.
Some scenarios have layers, especially on more recent releases, and of course you can't turn them off
Seem to remember seeing a Pendolino on a scenario on Birmingham Crewe off the top off my head. The Railtour 47 on Peterborough Doncaster has layers because they're just thrown in places they shouldn't be
