Seems to me they are both at fault. But the liar in the room seems more to be ATS. They were the ones who said the wrong build was submitted by DTG. If that was the truth the actual build would have been released by now 6 weeks later. And from other statements by Alan lately have proven that that was completely false and it was never really ready to be shipped. Then there is DTG with their poor QA who should have flagged this DLC and it should of been shipped back to ATS for fixes and released later. They should never have approved it to stores in the 1st place. I also tend to think that this could have been sorted if DTG were giving more oversight with 3rd parties than the full freedom they seem to do now. But with the poor QA that would be a mute point anyways.
What I’ve been saying mate. You know like all the rest here on the forum what the problem has been for a number of years. A drop in standard the of quality and customer service/ relations. The forum going around and around. It was never my intentions to offend the community but to realise that no matter what we said nothing changed. Hours wasted on feedbacks, comments etc. Yet nothing changed except the mood or the room. The community environment. Walk away or make a stand. Again in the emotional sense, removing all the negativity or pent up resentments. And the community has made that stand. No more words, a call for actions. The community has stuck to its guns and will not let this carry on any longer than it has. To reason with each other instead of working against each other. It achieves nothing, yet look what can happen when the community does stick together. Not to sabotage or destroy a company or individual but to simply get the respect we the consumer deserve. No excuses, no fumbling around like a company that’s hasn’t got a clue. Totally indifference to what’s happening in front of them. We the community had to talk about this. The facts, the underlying issues, the hidden agenda, and the fight for the narrative. Even the friction between ambassadors, the wider media and even here. They avoid me like the plague mate. YT they hide my comments mate. Can you see the problem here. Content that never is directly aimed at the White Elephant in the Room. All the while fans are switching off because they own a DTG or 3rd party product so know what’s fully going on. We’re fools not stupid. So it’s now one of those moments when it seems like things are getting much worse. With whatever new news which has now come to light about the situation will no doubt come with more noise. It will have to come from DTG really, ATS I don’t follow and to be honest with you is not a good idea to be chatting to fans like mates. A company has to have some kind of professional spokesperson if operating on a larger business contract and product line. If not then I think we’re going to witness or is already seeing the poop show unfold. Media and how the public responds or reacts. ✌.

Now it has nothing directly to do with the ATS situation, however it might offer some intriguing information (If not removed). Basically the thread had a response from DTG Alex. A few comments based on the situation concerning inside communications. He was in agreement with what (edit) was being discussed about a drop in communication and how office politics can rise it’s ugly head. I dealt with 3rd parties myself so know first hand what can happen if things go wrong. The blaming game. Is that what we are now witnessing, that blaming game?. Could be, if I can retrieve that thread then like I say it could offer some insight into what seems to be happening in terms of who said what etc between DTG and ATS. How even long before this upset, it did seem that DTG was silently (edit) dropping a hint that yes some 3rd parties might be making the situation harder for themselves and so impacts any line of communication before releasing. ✌.

Absolutely spot on mate. You summed it up perfectly. I’ve said this before, but they’re dangerous close as being branded a Rivet equivalent. In my opinion they’ve had 2/2 shoddy releases now. Some will disagree and say MAC is a good route, but I can’t overlook the track build error by ATS and it not being fixed. You probably know what I’m referring to already, but here’s a video incase you’re unsure what I’m talking about: What baffles me is that there are members of the community who have this thought mentality, that you don’t have the right to protest when you buy content for the game. Voicing your concerns on a product you bought is taboo in their opinion and it’s my/your fault for buying the content in the first place. If we do stay silent then who will take notice. As a paying customer I feel it’s my moral obligation to scream from the high heavens when a dlc I bought doesn’t work. It’s been proven time and time again that being vocal does bring change. Some 3PD’s are more aware than others though. I’ve not really noticed that about YT comments, that’s crazy. I’m definitely going to start playing more attention to comments disappearing. It doesn’t surprise me though, DTG want to give newcomers to game the illusion that their game is picture perfect, it’s only when you dig further down the rabbits hole that the cracks start to show.
So I've bought most of the UK freight cars, and I think this loco would go great with them. Is this just not working, what is the current state? Is it usable? I'm kind of tired of buying layers that should work and having them not actually work (or even be able to be enabled).I'm going through buying these items on sale and in case after case either I didn't understand what layers would work with which routes, or they just didn't work. Could this layer process be smoothed out somehow, and which packs work with with other DLC be made clear?
My friend it’s never about being forcibly right to feed the ego. Again was never my intentions to offend anyone. It’s quite simple for the community to simplify, if not it’s noise and nothing gets heard. We had to do this, stop the noise and speak up with truth. No more lies, or more false promises made by DTG or 3rd parties. No more anger toward each other. You too have summed it up. No need to put others down if they are deeply involved. Money and then the pure frustration when dealing with DTG will show. People will voice their concerns. Okay not always how some would like yet emotions are high. Why because the consumers and we the community have had enough. So again we’re in total agreement. For once a man speaking truth and I have deep respect for that. You and every single person has a right to defend their civil liberties/ rights without fear of retaliation against a belief or common opinion. We all have something to say but who are we to judge the person behind the screen. It’s perfectly clear to see people have simply had enough, emotions can run high, thus can feel personal at times. Ie, Comments etc disappear or strange activity, the pattern of evidence learns towards a perfect illustration of keeping the voices down. Control the narrative, remove any negative criticism. Shadow bans etc. It’s why most media sites removed the down voting. You can see now why I don’t believe thumbs up hardly reflect a true opinion. Words matter, thumbs manipulate the algorithms and mass thinking. Or what would be commonly referred to as group mentality, the herd. A comment has 50 likes well that must be true. Follow and that to me is the death of critical thinking right there. If not then nothing will change. Even on a wider scope. For ATS MAC DLC. My experience. Held off due to reviews. Purchased on offer. Played the introduction and that’s that. Not picked it up since then so wasn’t aware of the issues that you’ve identified. Yet again issues left and it’s just not good enough. I had all the personal side to contend with, DTG removing random work with no consistency. Asking to speak privately yet turned into a poop show on the forums. All this impacts my ability to full enjoy a product. The customer care side is just non existent. Again don’t care about a lengthy community project yet all over the forums when it’s criticism about DTG or 3rd party. The silly tik for tat from TSS and TSD. What was that all about?. I get the whys but there was just no need to defend. For me it places division between fans and us here within the community. Fanboys or TSW Mafia sticking together. And then us a community screaming for fixes and/or any clear updates. Again from my personal opinion cannot trust ambassadors as they do tend to sway away from hard questing, whereas for TSS says it how it is, He understands the fan’s concerns and so gives a fair assessment of a product and of individuals. His YT views are very high compared to some ambassadors, thus illustrating where fans and critics own personal choice comes into play. And then the last part, (Not long now ). Again you have clearly identified a deeper concern. You and I are not the only ones to grasp the hidden reality behind the rabbit hole. To simplify. Loyal customer perception. Large back catalogue, many unused. Having to wait, uncertain for when patches/ updates arrive. Outside of returns policies. Due to a decline in some products now hold back on further purchases. Play any unused items. Backs away from any real interest surrounding the franchise, leave a forum, stop making livery content, YT or other social media/networking platforms. New customer perspectives, are how I’d believe this is what it would be. See the free game, will impulse buy for DTG will offer sales around a new core TSW title release. More often than not it’s the free game that draws in people that may have no interest whatsoever in trains. If so can find the game difficult to fully comprehend in what it takes to drive a train. My reference to a past work mate that was fully qualified engineer yet didn’t know how track points work or switching. (I know, how can that be, I guess some never ask questions about the world around them, yet no excuse in their mid 40s). And there is sufficient evidence or reason to believe for the increase in random numbers of people lashing out here there and everywhere. I don’t think it just effects this community environment tho but possibly even streamers or ambassadors trying to make fun or informative content away from a current audience that are increasingly looking for trouble only. So basically if this happens to be an issue could result in members of the public that get bugs confused with lack of understanding lashing out at DTG unfairly, it’s unfair damage reputation. However that being said for those members with real interest in a new TSW title release and do stay will start to see the bigger picture that the once loyal fans do now. Can’t just sit down and play the game, a product could be riddled with many hidden issues that need to be resolved if still on the market. Yes one could say it’s down to a potential customer doing some homework. Yet what about family members that could spend money for a present. Buy blindly because who would ever believe this is what they’re setting themselves in for. That rabbit hole you speak of. And you’d be right because, and why is that?. Well just look at the situation. It speaks for itself. Quality and Customer Support/ assistance or positive attitude towards its customer base using a DTG forum has and not only in my or your own personal opinion but also that of others who recognises DTGs failure to deliver or meet a customers expectations. Be from point of sale or week/ months, even years down the line. It simply it’s good enough. As a customer I can truly say I’ve never been treated in such a manner. And if this is what it takes to get DTG to hear our voices then hey we’re just the customer. What would we know, and if the any company wishes to ignore that, well again we’re just a customer who genuinely doesn’t care about the budgets or how DTG conducts its operations. We simply want a product that works without having all this hassle. With no major apology nor compensation for those impacted, ref to ATS class 90 is a very bad experience for the customer and look for all those involved. Reputations are now on the line. Anyway back to earth mate, sorry it a long one. Being down to earth with you when I say this is that I am fed up. I just wanted to enjoy creating something. No arguments, no up evils, DTG in many ways removed that. If someone took something you loved would you fight?. Or simply say enough is enough, one has standards and the courage to walk away from it all. To emotional detach in order to discuss like civilised human beings. As a community, friends or acquaintances, and even the wider world. I’m sure there is something else we may agree upon is that we don’t need any more fighting. The Main issue as its been already pointed is its Safety Systems Don't work & i think its across all platforms which means you Can't earn the additional Action points. I think there was a mix-up launch the wrong build was released on th e wrong platforms
Just consoles I believe as on PC you can just turn the DSD on after you've put the key in and changed the reverser and all works as it should.
Hopefully u PS5 players get access to mods soon, ROBS just released a fantastic mod for the 90 that sorts out a lot of the sound probs, the traction motors don't sound like there trying to rip through the floor of the cab anymore
I Don't know why but this game is going down hill still no fix for the Br Class 90 no Communication DTG ( Nearly 2 Months after its release) on what's being about or progress on it. A Very Quit & poor road map this Month No word on there other taunt routes like Trent Valley or Preston Crew. The Development has been Suspended on Metro Rivals there new IP Sounds like dark dark days at DTG
It’s a shame they don’t have the ‘correct’ build available to upload. They must have accidentally deleted it.
Maybe they’re finalising stuff like articles and release date etc, clearly both routes a nearing the end of development; there was a dev blog from JT on the 5th and the Steam page for Trent Valley is available to read, I feel like its nearing the end of the QA stage at this point, and Preston - Crewe is well into QA. Maybe we’ll get something on Trent Valley this week since it seems be imminent.
While that would fix some issues, it has been advised (although I cannot find the source, it may be up thread) that a new build is coming and will fix other things as well. It was assumed that the original release may introduce further problems of used.
You can get the train moving if you set it up in exactly the right order (do it wrong and it won't move at all) and even then when you end a run the scoring thinks the safety systems are turned off. So it is still broke even on PC, just not as badly.
So the “correct” build should never have passed QA either? Not that I believe there was ever a correct build in the first place. I strongly believe that we was lied to from day 1 and DTG & ATS both knew it wasn’t in a fit state but released it anyway prior to year end to help massage their figures.
Yet again, Alan and co fail to deliver a product that works, after spending years slagging off DTG and delighting in any little thing they find wrong. People have paid money, and the issue needs sorting. The radio silence from DTG is deafening.
