An add-on for JustTrains' 1986 WCML routes. 87 101 was emitted from WCML Preston to Carlisle and even though sleeper trains are represented, the consists are made up of regular Mk3a's and Mk1 BG's. 87 101 wasn't solely used on sleeper trains, I just wanted this loco to be added as well as some extra rolling stock. 87 101: - Was the only 87/1 made - Equipped with 'thyristor' power control as appose to a 'tap changer' - 20% better pulling power, making it good for freight - Loco was lighter due to the different power control - Had better wheel-slip protection - Non standard equipment meant it was eventually limited to just 75mph Mk3a SLE: - Short for 'Sleeper Either Class' - Individual compartments configured first class (single birth) and standard class (double berth) Mk3a SLEP: - Short for 'Sleeper Either Class with Pantry' - Differs by way of being equipped with a small kitchen area for breakfast and light snacks/meals /\ Obviously, these were more presentable in their working days, nowadays, the Mk3a SLE/SLEP's have either been scrapped or converted into Mk3a SLED's, as used on the GWR Night Riviera.
Very surprised JT haven’t done the sleeper stock. As it is, their night train formations are just plain wrong.
With how much was already included in Over Shap and that the Sleeper services only appear a few times in the timetable, I don't think JT would have thought it to be worth it to include Mk3 sleeper coaches
Whilst the Sleeper coaches are a good shout, the sleeper trains only appear a few times in the timetable so it might not beneficial to make them for TSW
I'm not trying to say JT haven't already included enough, I'm just making a suggestion. The main focus with this pack would be 87 101, like the 86/2 pack, I was just thinking of some extra stock to come with it.
