So I did that because it froze and turned off my PC counted for 10 seconds. I rebooted my PC and Steam asked me to log in and noticed steam wanted me to install train simulator ( I saw the install icon steam didn't asked me to install the game). Oddly, all of my stuff is in there assets, mods, Searchlight Simulations, and ETC. I don't know if I can fix this. Is it possible?

Have never heard of this kind of problem before.. You can try to verify your game files but that will reset any and all mods to routes and or rolling stock packs, so be sure to reinstall those. If that doesn't work, then I'm sorry to say that idk what you're supposed to do.

If you click the blue install button, then click cancel on the first box that pops up, that might cause it to find the files again and give you a green play button.

Also to note when I try to reinstall the game it says the game needs 90823 of disk space and I have 55915

What if you click next instead of cancel? Then click cancel on the screen where it says creating local game files? Assuming it allows you to go that far if you haven't got enough disk space.

Because Steam is seeing the game as uninstalled. If you start the installation process and cancel it, Steam 'finds' the installation again and this fixes this issue. The problem for pennsy_railfan is that they cannot start the installation process because they have insufficient space available, because TS2020 is occupying all the space. Unfortunately I think the only option for pennsy_railfan will be to delete TS2020 and reinstall it, unless they can free up enough space to start the installation process and back out of it once the game checks for local files and 'finds' the original install of TS2020.

    Good Luck!

I would also perform a disk check and windows registry check afterwards... before you reinstall. And maybe a safe mode virus scan beforehand?

I also found this reddit thread, showing you're not the first this has happened to, as well as TS not being the only game ever affected:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/spaceengin...e_crashes_forces_me_to_restart_and_now_steam/
And a Steam help article, particularly its last section about letting the Steam Client close without Windows having to 'kill' it during shutdown (or even worse, a cold reset):
    https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8379-RYIP-2998&l=dutch
It also has a "Programs which interfere with Steam" link.
    I hope these help some...

I'd recommend the free program windirstat if you need to find large files / directories to clear
