Even though Wonders of Sodor's map is inspired heavily on Awdry's RWS map, we did see a few locations make their way in like the barge siding from "Trust Thomas" near the quarry. Are there any other TV Series locations, from either model or CGI, you hope or think will make it into the game in the future? I think for the Kirk Ronan Branch, we might get the terminus station Gordon crashed through in Season 5. Something that might contradict it is Kirk Ronan Harbour, one of the only RWS locations down that route.
I do wish that the game kept the TV series version of Gordon's Hill because I just find it very nostalgic and memorable. Like that little overhead bridge at the bottom of the hill and then that curve when you reach the top is just something I always remember when looking at the stories. So, I wish they had implemented that. I don't know if they actually will remake parts of the island, but I do hope that they consider not saying that I hate the Gordon's hill that we have in the game, but I do wish that change was taken into consideration. Since I'm on the topic of lines being recreated in the game, I feel like they should remake Thomas's line to the quarry as a tramway because that's the reason why Toby and Mavis were brought on the Island, because they're tramway engines and it seems only right the railway has been said to have a branch line that runs some distance along the road. Besides, it would be a good refresher from the regular standard railway lines. I also think it would be a good idea to remake it so that we can have that lane where Mavis got stuck on.
they said they couldn’t make Gordon’s hill as steep as the tv show because the engines in game wouldn’t be able to climb it so they made it similar to the steepest gradient on the uk main line, the aesthetics of the tv series hill are better though I suggested extending the curves up to the quarry to add the tramway section which would have the added bonus of reducing how steep that section of track is
Yeah, I think it makes sense for Dovetail to make the hill the way they did. The gradient that they have is far more realistic than the gradient that we see on Sodor. But you're right, I think I just was drawn to the hill not for the gradient, but because of the aesthetic. I was so used to the look of the hill. I was used to the hill being enclosed with trees and bushes with a bridge overhead as you start to climb. There are a lot of changes going to happen to Wonders of Sodor, so who knows what we'll get. Your suggestion for the quarry line does make a lot of sense. There did happen to be winding curves in the line leading up to the quarry, even shown in one of the illustrations.
