So when are we getting updates/patches for this cause quite a bad performing route on xbox or have just said no fixes make do.
I hope the devs of this route are really enjoying my £30 they took off me. Because im certainly not enjoying this route i cant even make it to Crewe always crashes the blurry textures are really bad as well and the constant stuttering. This is on xbox series x. This by far the worst route for performance.
Only fix for that is to run it in HD instead of 4K (I am fully aware you shouldn’t have to. However, we are where we are with this route. No update. No fixes. So if you want to get something for your money put it in HD)
WCML South also has at least one neutral section, the one at Bourne End between Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead works in both directions on the slow lines for instance. The signage is present but the magnets are hard to spot as they're a modern type unlike those on Preston - Carlisle. There are others that should be present I've yet to check.
Currently, this is my most favourite route to play. Great variety of gameplay. Credit to the devs, for a change
Are you sure? I have that route and run the 87 along it a few times and did not see the light go out at any point.
Yes, positive. I tested using the 86 but only on the slow lines at that one location as I said. Were you on the fasts?
Yes, it was for a BR-era scenario I was writing at the time. It seems odd that one location would work. I'll install it again sometime and try it.
Bourne End works on the Up Fast as well, as does Leighton Buzzard on the Down Fast. Wembley neutral section on the Up Fast seems to be missing. Eventually I'll get round to doing a comprehensive test of all three locations.
It's not too bad on PC but is what makes me sceptical of Trent Valley. Will we see a repeat of the same issues and has it been rushed along without thorough testing?
I'm a bit puzzled really, on PC I've not really encountered much by way of issues with Crewe2Brum. Spawn point issues, being spawned many miles away from the cab (believed to be a core issue) End markers being mislaid, such as the pendo expecting to stop beyond the signal at the end of the station (happened to me on one diagram in Brum). The random Pacer service, let's not get started on that one, it wasn't a bug and was good fun, shame it disappeared again afterwards so now everyone thinks I'm mad... I've not had any texture issues or anything like that, maybe Jesus loves me
Shame this route has serious problems on console, I really wanted to love it, (despite having never been anywhere near it irl). Glad it works for PC peeps, though
It's a bit better on ps5 than it launched. But it still blurs around Smethwick and never fully recovers. It's why Trent Valley is a firm wait and see what the people that buy it on console say lol
So looking through the 66s all the intermodal jobs are in the intermodal version on the 66. Just done a job man that version of 66 really struggles to pick speed up.
Picking the Pendolino service 9M84 (Glasgow to London -> meaning Crewe to Birmingham, starting time 16:58) spawned me in Birmingham New Street instead of Crewe. A fast travel to Crewe later, I got into the train and left on time (17:01). Leaving Crewe southwards, I passed two Pendolinos going north in quick succession and a little later a stray 350 standing still - service 9Y20 (Liverpool to London) which according to the timetable started 16:49 in Crewe but apparently spawned incorrectly and therefore "stopped off path". On the way south, there were hardly any trains before Wolverhampton - don't know if that is related. Also, at Crewe station, there is a path next to the station building on the right (seen from the street entrance) that definitely looks walkable. Stepping on it makes you fall through the floor instantly, even if you're landing on or near the tracks.
Steam / PC: Voyager service 1O08 SPAD ending service as I entered Birmingham New Street. It wasn't me that SPAD, so some of those AI SPAD issues are still there.
Generally have a lot less issues on this route (on Series X) whilst using the 350/1. Seems a lot more optimised than the other trains.
Manage to find out elsewhere, there's 2 for Crewe and 4 for BNS. Sigh... I would have hoped a non-DTG provider could do better for 2 very busy stations.
OK, so this is a bug. I may or may not posy to DTG depending on what I hear. PC, Steam, Various services and trains including 170, 350/1/2/3,m 323, 805, and a few more. Nearly always, at the first passenger loading, I have to load passengers a second time regardless of when I close the doors. I have tried before the wait time, at the wait time, and after the wait time. I have not tried all trains, bit so far seems universal. This usually doesn't occur on intermediate stops, but does sometimes randomly at major stops like Wolverhampton or Stafford. In addition, this happens with the 8054 on other routes as well (WCML London Euston to Milton Keynes and ECML Peterborough to Doncaster) Anyone else notice this? It definitely affects the timetable as it costs about 15 seconds or so each time.
I believe it was to avoid the incorrect process of despatching against a red signal which of course frequently occurs across many other TSW routes. However it is a very clumsy solution and if you’re not careful - for example you start to close the doors a few seconds before the boarding clock expires, can end up messing up the sequence and borking the run.
Yeah, though it's also a poor fix as they shouldn't be closing the doors against a red either as it's technically part of the despatch. I suppose we have to let that one slide though for the greater good...
So Crewe will be down to the basics in regards to AI, and now Railtours are removed as well. Well done. DTG do realise surely that the point of Updates is to make players want to play the routes, not avoid them?
Calling PS5 players… I have a favour to ask… Now that this route has had a patch in the updates today, can PS5 players who play with all the layers enabled report if there are any real improvements in the performance of the route (frame rates and textures) as it’s at 20% off in the sale and I only want to buy it if it’s working better than previously reported. My default position is to not buy it but if it is much better now I might jump in. Thanks in advance.
I've only done one run so far, it was a peak time voyager run into New Street with all layers activated and I experienced no blurry textures at all and the frame rate was pretty smooth all the way. I had a few hitches but that's probably due to the fact I've not played TSW for a while now, because of the texture issues.
NICE MY 350/3 stuck after overshoot at coseley i did reverse and open my doors and i closed my doors and train not moving
This type of bug is there for ages. Random the train brakepipe is empty and there is no way you get the train anywhere. This is so frustrating.
That's because the 350 is the main culprit of blurry textures yet their response to the issue was to remove railtours... (I've driven one of the railtours before with a bunch of layers turned off, including the 350 and it was fine. As I turn the 350 it blurs. Every single time)
