The length isn't the issue. Ps5 and series x handle routes like Kassel - Wurzburg and WCML Carlisle to Preston just fine.

there are likely subtle differences in seating or lighting clusters. just like the 801 is different from the 802 is different from the 800 etc etc but i kinda think its not much more than minor subclass differences. the drive will be identical afaik

I sincerely hope that the product will be free of other defects upon release.

    - Floating tree-like objects in the sky
    - Traffic lights are embedded in buildings and invisible
    - Blurry images and overly unstable weather
    - Euston still has no passengers
It's disappointing that there are so many defects on every line. I hope they will finish and perfect it before releasing it.

What I really don’t understand, and as I’ve mentioned before, is that how do you expect 13 807’s and 10 350/4 to make up the WHOLE timetable, assuming you do not own WCMLS or B2C (Because yes majority will but there will likely be a handful of people who haven’t purchased either), otherwise (again on this assumption) the TT will be pretty lifeless. I really think they should have included either the 350/1 or /2 (10 /3’s won’t be making much difference).

Most likely the 350/4 will just end up reusing numbers or using incorrect numbering. they have 350400 all the way to 350499 to use i guess.

We’ll see how they handle it, maybe they have a fictional rolling stock diagram for the whole TT, but realistically if you don’t own the 390 & presumably their 350’s from B2C, you’re going to have a very quiet route.

I'm surprised people are surprised about the cross-selling aspect where the more DLC you own the more realistic your experience will be.
I'd love routes to come with all the rolling stock needed like it was back in MS Train Simulator days but we're merely cogs in the machine and the UK economy's future depends on you all spending money you can't spare on consumer products. So pipe down, pay up and feel grateful that you live in a capitalist world that's skewed in favour of the super rich.

That would be nice. That certainly wasn't my experience purchasing the class 90 and class 805 add-ons, both of which have independent timetables and can never be seen together unless manually spawned.

Sadly the Cargo Line series from Skyhook also suffers from this, and is a personal hate of mine.
We have layers, for god sake give me a timetable that's stuffed full and If my hardware struggles I will take a layer or two out!

Subtle nuance is dead. One hand-picked example doesn't change the overall situation.

This forum really does like to dwell in negativity and despair…

really looking forward to Trent Valley.. DAY 1 purchase… be great, got faith

looking forward to London-Mk- route hop- Crewe… been looking forward to it for ages, and can’t wait to get my hands on what the team have produced.

they’ve clearly put a lot of thought into it, and considered timetable syncing etc. think it’ll be awesome

I really hope they don’t dilute timetables for pc users and have a reduced timetable for those prone to the blurred textures

I wonder if anything immediately north of Crewe will be in this route, especially as development for it ran out of time on B2C? More time and hopefully Crewe works!

Do one trip, potentially one each way. Use custom weather, set it to sunshine and minimal cloud. If the run isn’t working well under those conditions get a refund straight away. If it does work in those conditions, then perhaps a gamble on it being okay in the other conditions is worth it?!

i’m not sure whether this is sarcasm or just a jab at pc/console players, but anyone who pays for tsw content should get value for their hard earned money. the beauty of this game is that you can choose what you do and don’t want, but just because some people spend less than others doesn’t mean their collection should be objectively lower quality

I thought that was what the post was inferring!
On that basis PC players are due a refund because of consoles holding us back….

PC players are not to blame and should not be punished for the fact that consoles cannot handle a full timetable
instead of inciting this pointless PC vs console war, blame DTG for letting the snowball called TSW reach its current state

Cant help but feel all this nonsense could have been avoided if DTG went with a one-time licence across any format…then one could start with either of the consoles but simply upgrade to a PC and a better experience when the time came without having to buy every bit of DLC again!
For clarity I am aware that there are reasons why this currently cant happen but surely something could be done for when TSW Next Gen i.e. UE5 comes along as all current DLC wont/cant be ported. An ideal opportunity to start afresh!

That's exactly it. I paid more money for just one graphics card than the entire console costs.

My own personal take is I'm going to give this route a miss - for now - and it's based on what's happened to the Birmingham - Crewe route, which is a step back.

Happy to buy this provided the 90, 805 and 390 all to into on timetable and offer some route diversity, even if the 90 isn't ideal to play as.

It can be just a bit of dump thoughts i could talk about but the fact that we get this whole WCML from Euston to Crewe into the 2025/26 almost, could mean that we get maybe. Just maybe a Remaster for the Spirit of Steam Route from Crewe to Liverpool Lime Street as far as i see it in the same timeline too of 2025. Its just a guess about this now but the signs are there because this route is nearly not at its Performance Limits too. Anyways i would like to hear from you all what you think about my guess for a future remaster that could come next year even maybe. Its just a guess and a Personal sight of view just know that.

Sorry to burst your bubble but they gave Spirit of Steam away for free last year. I very much doubt that it will be remastered. A remaster with that amount of era change is unlikely anyway as it would effectively be a new route.

Don't think SoS could be a remastered unfortunately, it'll probably need to build from the ground up with new track and signals etc.

    Which says it all really.

The Class 90 has been associated to the WCML since the mid/late 1980s and yet it won’t be available as a layer on the core section of the route.

Imagine how disappointing that would be if the Class 90 actually worked?!

It's poor, isn't it? I don't care for the politics behind it, all parties should realise it would help with cross-sales.
