Steam [resolved] Update Causing Problem With Class 87

I am getting CTD’s and an error message saying it can’t find a file relating to the Class 86. This is a separate paid dlc and should NOT be required to drive an 87. Now I’m being penalised because I don’t own the Class 86.

I can’t run the Class 87 on WCML Preston to Carlisle since the update. It ran fine before. I’ve removed the 2019 mod just in case even though it’s fine before.

Please get it fixed asap.

Here is the class 87 at Preston, heading north with 1S53 the 09:54 Coventry to Edinburgh Waverley.


I would suggest removing all mods for a moment, verifying your game files through steam, restart your PC, boot the game up and see if the issue is fixed. If it is then put your mods back in a few at a time then test a service. Its possible you might find 1 mod that is conflicting, or that verify game files did the trick.

 

I’m doing that Chris as nothing else seems to work. Some gremlin had got inside! I’ll do a full reinstall tonight having removed my dlc and Pak files.
Losing the vintage WCML P2C route and the 87’s is non negotiable for me.

 

Thanks for your advice. I’ve tried everything and I still can’t drive 87’s on Preston 2 Carlisle which is non negotiable for me, more important that the 2019 mod, so I’m following the advice of DTG Chris and doing a clean install overnight. I shall be very careful what I put back in.

Yes thanks Chis it solved all the problems. It was obviously just a coincidence and not the update but a mod. I’ve managed to preserve my progress.
Now I've got a backed up copy of my Pak folder where I put mods (smaller than my dlc folder) and am only putting one mod in at a time then testing. I only use timetable mods and licensing brands.
