*rewriting this in a way to keep certain operators from getting angry at me for useless questions* Given the rocky state of previous all aboard releases on consoles, what steps have been taking to try to minimise occurrences of game crashes and blurry textures?
Will this route feature optimised textures and memory to improve performance and blurry textures on launch?
Well you moved one of mine but there actually were several questions in there, now highlighted in bold: Hence my question about how the freight that runs via Northampton will be represented, also the outer suburban Class 350 services north of Wolverton. I wonder also how many of those 478 services will be short hops between MKC and Wolverton or vv on said trains which disappear off stage north of Roade to re-emerge at Rugby. And as regards the price it may be 108 miles, but nearly 30 of that is (presumably) copy and pasted in from B2C unless AABS would like to confirm otherwise. At least three questions there if the time was taken to read it, or perhaps it was decided to quietly shuffle the awkward ones off elsewhere? All you have done Jan, is antagonise and reduce even further the chances I might actually buy this route.
Hey OldVern, I understand why you might think that, but after reviewing your other posts, which were not moved, I found that they already addressed the questions mentioned in the post above. All of those questions have also been included in our streaming document, which we use to prepare for upcoming preview streams. It's basically just a Word document I can use as a crib sheet for all the important route details and a list of community questions, which is much easier and quicker to reference than going through forum threads and Discord messages. Moving the posts to the general discussion is merely done for my own benefit, so I have an easier time taking your questions and preparing them for the stream, nothing more. I apologise if I overlooked any questions that were not addressed in your previous posts. I would be happy to add them to the list of questions I have already prepared in said document. All the best, Jan
Considering that B2C still suffers from performance issues on Console, can an insight be given into the testing / QA procedure for this route? Especially considering it adds another variant of the 350 which is already a memory intensive train. What has the performance, especially with blurred textures been like? - Also, when the trains from this route eventually layer back onto B2C, what impact will it have?
More of a niche question from me: is the parliamentary service to Polesworth playable as part of the 350 services?
Based on the WCML Trent Valley Route showcase video on YouTube, at timestamp number- 1:06 the chair on the right of screen has textures which are I think blurry. Will be rectified before the public release?
Can DTG Explain in the most Simplistic of terms how there 46 that they considered trust Ambassadors get a free pre-launch copy game with game key which they are possible allowed to keep i seen enough of them in you tube Video The British Ace & Tin tin 57 spring there is something very wrong some where they get a free version of the game & the rest of us have to pay 32.99. I mean do DTG see us as Stupid?
Is there any consideration of doing a pre-2024 timetable for the route featuring the Avanti West Coast's Class 221 Super Voyager?
Them having a copy actually helps me decide whether I want to buy something or not in a lot of cases. I find it quite useful.
How will route hopping work between this and WCML S? Route hopping currently does not allow you to choose timetables so will it just hop to the vanilla timetable or the 805 timetable? It would be a huge problem if it just hops to the original timetable as they will not match
Not strictly true. The Czech route is 45 miles and £33. Swollen - Gronigen is 52 miles and £33. NYP to Stamford is mostly reused track and scenery and cost £33. The only actual long route that cost £33 is WCML Preston to Carlisle. Route length isn't the factor here.
It's not likely targeting Russian... It's them just making localization support in English and German.
Has the Class 350/4 been built from the ground up or will it be the same model currently used? If it’s the same model, what updates and upgrades have been done on the train eg sounds etc.
Since route length and new rolling stock are not the reasons for the $50 price, how are you justifying premium pricing? And don't you think a 10% loyalty or pre-order discount would be a decent gesture these days?
i suspect that we’ll get rugby-birmingham sooner rather than later and then that’ll be it. it’d be an expensive route to make, but would be very popular given the amount of requests for it
I'll take that if no other WCML routes/branches are announced for 5 years so that the Southern, Eastern, Scottish and Western can level-up with London Midland. A further WCML DLC would take it to 15 sections of it while the Eastern still only has 2. It's infuriating for those of us who want to support TSW but find LMR to be the least interesting BR region. And yes, I worked for LMR's rivals the Eastern Region.
thats just how product ambassadors work, they get the product at no cost and can choose to make content to show it off or not. in the most simple of terms, ambassador shows product to general public, general public sees thing in action, general public buys thing.
I know this has been asked in similar ways, but keen to emphasise the question about timetable and route hopping. Will this add on support more seamless hopping between the WCML South route by aligning the timetables. And if so, which timetables? I currently do not own Birmingham to Crewe or the 805 add ons. Other than layering, is there any other way I would I benefit from purchasing these add ons in terms of my experience with this new route? Edit: To clarify my second question. For example it might be answered by the first if I might benefit from aligned route hopping if I have the class 805 timetable for WCML South.
How will the different stopping patterns affect services amount. are there any fictional ammendments made so there are more 'full length' AWC runs.
a question for dtg, why do we never get preview streams on console? is it because you don’t want to show off a blurry product which may well crash?
Have the timetable work alongside the southern version so when you route hope it wil sync together. What bugs have been spotted in qa and are you fully happy before launch. Have we got a good timetable . Will btp 350 make its apperance in the route. Will you look at mod that have been implemented ie test trains to make it feel even more perfect.
Would the route work on consoles on day 1 and without any issues and has it been passed Q&A on all platforms as we don’t want anymore bad releases
YES YES a very good Question i am off to watch the live Stream of Trent Valley main line as ro Whether i buy as a day one release or as a sale purchase with 75% slashed off the price that they are selling it for now
Most of the questions I have have already been asked, so just one from me: Is bidirectional signalling implemented on the fast lines?
Just watched the live Stream all of 3hrs & 10 mins will buy but not at launch reason just purchased a couple of German routes in there sale Frankfurt S bahn £ 8.99 & Dresden to leipzip £14.99 not to many in one go it makes it Expensive plus the release date is just 2 days before the FIFA World-cup probably will not play TSW for a Month
Why are the freight jobs split between different variants of the class 66. Why cant all the class 66s cover all the jobs. Thanks
i'm guessing "realism?" Other games like Run 8 have this too. Only some companies have contracts with some industries, and they only use their own railyards. You would find that "BNSF" for example uses the BNSF yard in Bakersfield, CA and services the same industries they have contracts with. You wouldn't see a "Union Pacific" loco in the BNSF yard or servicing businesses with BNSF contracts. That is realism. I don't know how they specifically do it on this route as it's not out yet, but if they are logo specific I'd bet that's why. Just like people who lose their marbles and go nuts if you had the wrong liveried passenger train stop at the "wrong" stations or on the "wrong" route. And heaven help you if it's in a livery that's just one year off from what the route represents. "That livery is from 1987! They didn't have that livery in 1986! My immersion is totally ruined!" =-)
When I play Run 8 and the industry sub game in particular, I am the uber Trainmaster of the whole railroad - the yards get what they are told to take and any set of locos lurking around is fair game to grab!
Yeah, you can do that if you're King of the Railroad! =-) You can also spawn any train you want in TSW. It's good to be the King.
