If a license with Trans Pennine Express were to be made, I would really like to see the line from Scarborough to Leeds, set in 2023. Set in 2023, because you could include the criminally short lived TPE Class 68s with Mk5 coaches, criminally short lived with TPE that is, they haven't been scrapped. Other motive power could be the Class 195 'civity' units for the Leeds to York run. This route would be around 67 miles, I'm not making reference, that's just the distance. You have the sea-side town of Scarborough, interesting architecture and track layout of Malton, and the big cities at Leeds and York.

Timetable layers should include the LNER Class 801, from ECML Peterborough to Doncaster, the Class 220, the Class 66, upcoming Class 70, and the class 323 from the Glossop Line or Manchester Airport, and reskins of the SR Class 170 and 158, TFW or GWR Class 150 for Ai only services out of Leeds and York. I'm aware 323s don't run to Leeds, 333s and 331s do instead, but DTG used the Glossop 323 at Doncaster on the ECML so yeah. You could also drive the reskinned SR 158 between York and Church Fenton for Bridlington services.

    Listed:
    Included:
    - TPE Class 68
    - Northern Class 195
    Driveable layers:
    - XC 220
    - Reskinned SR 158
    - Class 66
    - Class 70
    - ROG Class 37
    Ai only:
    - LNER 801
    - Northern 323
    - Reskinned SR 170
    - Reskinned TFW or GWR 150

Nice suggestion. 68’s definitely the star of the show with the possibility of a reskinned version for Fife Circle, with suitable rolling stock, or the modern Chiltern Line if it ever got made.

The Class 68 should be reskinned and added to the nuclear train DLC pack too.

That would be a cool route. I’d personally love to see a route which has the York-Scarborough line and then from York to Northallerton and middlesborough. With the York- middlesborough we could get the class 185s running the Redcar central-Manchester airport route and return as well as LNER 801s heading to Northallerton or possibly Darlington.

Sick and tired of seeing 323s sub Northern trains. I'd love to see something other than a 323 finally for once!

Honestly, I'd just buy this for the 68. Anything for a 68 in game

The route suggestion sounds good, however, I can't see York - Scarborough being done, simply as it's an hourly "branch", but if it was, I think you would most likely see it done as 185 / 802 operation.

You would leave York, pass another train around Malton, and arrive at Scarborough with another train in the platform. If you are lucky you will see a Northern 158/170 somewhere between Seamer & Scarborough.

Not much gameplay - looking at the timetable, you have 18 TP services each way (and 15 NT services Seamer - Scarborough)

I said Leeds to Scarborough so you have more service options to chose, like freight or the Northern services from York to Leeds and back, and even some cross country services with the 220 as a layer
