Today I did a run with the ICE-T from Fulda to Frankfurt, with arrival time 18:35 at Frankfurt HBf. I noticed already it was very quiet on the route, only saw a few dostos on the first part of the trip. Before Frankfurt Sud, I had a red signal and when I looked at the map it was a complete mess. A lot of regional services where close behind eachother, heading in the direction of Fulda (I guess the trains I should have seen on the route) and in front there was a cargo train. I removed all trains on my path and a few seperate trains to be able to reach my destination. I've never seen this before, is this something caused by the patch of last month? I'm playing on Series S if that matters.
I'm sure I've seen that before that patch, and also in other routes as well. What I usually do is look for the train with a green light that isn't moving, delete it and the wait for the other trains to slowly move... I don't think I've ever needed to delete more than one train.
It's the first time I've seen this on any route. It was also the first time I drove this specific service, so can't tell if it was the same before. In the end I think it was the freight train causing the issue, because it was the first one I game across, but didn't check it has a green or red signal.
It isn't new, for sure. I've had it happen (thankfully only once or twice) at around half of the lifetime of TSW5.
I wasn’t aware it was possible to delete stuck trains on console - there’s been no option to do this on XBOX when I’ve looked in the past. Is this a new feature?
It's not new, on the live map you can use the small dot as cursor, when the dot is on the train, you get a pop-up with the service name and when you press A, you get a pop-up menu with a few options like remove train and to clear the path. You have to zoom in to be able to get the point on the train, otherwise it's very hard to select it.
lexie did this occur in the Expert 101 timetable? If yes, then it's the infamous bug I asked about during the last roadmap Q&A. It's been around (and reported) since at least a year and hasn't been fixed yet. During the roadmap stream, I was given an answer along the lines of "yeah, we'll probably look into it I guess"... If you start any service after roughly 18:00, it will fail instantly. If you start a service before that, which is scheduled to arrive at Frankfurt after 18:00, you'll run into that traffic jam. I think it's all down to one particular ICE which sticks out past its departure signal at Frankfurt Hbf, can't move and creates this mess
OK and I don't usually use the standard timetable, only the other two But I had a similar experience in the BR 111 timetable once. Happend only once and way after 20:00 though. I think, sometimes it just bugs at random.
I haven't seen it before, but I mostly do morning services. I will try this service again to see if it happens again.
