seen a comment on ATS page on Facebook saying this replying to someone Harry Lowery I can’t seem to hit reply But the answer is yes but it wouldn’t have been as visible or have had such a large effect on gameplay Basically fixing the AWS bug has meant a large rewrite of the saftey systems and that’s had a knock on effect to other systems We would rather get the first patch correct rather than release a patch that might have fixed 1 thing but brokenothers

Can’t believe the amount of times we as a community are getting fobbed off by DTG and the third parties. With Rivet, Athena and now this. The thing that really grinds my teeth is the fact DTG haven’t given us any communication at all. Wish PS were able to give refunds with faulty products but nah can’t get a refund after 2 hours. It’s so scummy. Thanks for your money and now F off. I hate myself for constantly falling into these traps. I got the class 90 cause I was excited finally a different unit! But man it’s just bland, hate how the engine room isn’t modelled. Just got to click a sticker to turn on the Safety systems like damn bruh -_- TSW 6 and we still getting half assed models. Good thing we got All Aboard Studios,JT,Johannes,Firefly and Liam. Sorry if missed out any other third parties.
any chance that us lowly lowly customers might get any kind of update on a fix and when it might be released. almost 2 months after Alan said it was the wrong build so thats starting to look like it wasnt exactly true at all....
Can you not email the store support address and point them towards this thread, explaining that you didn't request a refund within the two hours because the developer acknowledged the product was faulty and claimed a fix was imminent but it still hasn't turned up after two months? This has been known to work on Steam. You won't get an instant refund but your request will be manually reviewed and then approved if they determine the product doesn't work as advertised. They have their standard refund policies but they still need to comply with consumer law.
Gave this another go after today’s update (PS5). The sound set is at least bearable now unlike before, however it still sounds really low quality. You don’t get any impression at all you’re operating a locomotive, it’s more like you’re on a bicycle in a velodrome. Also the AWS warning tone is badly looped. Between the sounds & the severe lack of content, I regret this purchase more than anything else I’ve had for TSW - including the 187, at least that served some purpose as AI. This pack is a genuine disappointment through & through.
Will still avoid, then, even in a sale. Doubt it will see any further updates and going forward DTG really need to flag anything else offered up by ATS for extremely close scrutiny, before it goes anywhere near a public release.
You definitely get the vibe from ATS that the 90 would be central to further content in the way of more stock packs, which surprises me even more that they’ve produced such a flimsy foundation for it. On one hand I’d say it’s hard to believe people were using this prior to release and thought it was in anyway a good product. It’s rough on the eyes with all the 2D texturing, rough on the ears with the soundest & you can barely actually use it outside of 1 barren timetable consisting of a handful of runs & then the rather undercooked free roam modes. On the other hand it’s pretty much in-line with other ATS products, they’ve always put stuff out that takes multiple rounds of updates to get to a good level. The way they’ve insulated themselves with the ATS store has kept them in a bubble of users that will buy literally anything from them, so I’m not surprised they’re doing the same sort of development in TSW now too, but with content like this they’re gonna quickly find themselves pushed out just as Rivet were IMO.
So no real improvement then? Shame, looks like I'm going to have to give this a miss. May pick up in a heavy sale and if it appears as a layer on other major timetables I have
Rivet are still heavily involved in TSW as both 2nd party and third party roles. Riviera was very commendable.
TSW WCML South Alan Thomson updated Class 90 morning timetable freight south from B to Euston southern approach yards finds 3 NPC standing down in my west-side tracks at Harrow and W. station. So much for my "user" beta testing on PS5 today. I will try Epic then Steam on PC. Xbox can wait ... Blame Sony ? I got platinum. Q: How push Class 90 Train Length button on PS5 when throttle in Off ? A key-binding ? I do have bluetooth keyboard, but on PC i divide DSD and AWS keys and don't use Q although it still retains some default role even unassigned. Minor PC thing, big PS5 annoyance: i use numpad Enter for DSD and Home for AWS on Steam. I like that as both are near my right-hand wireless mouse. My PS5 mouse is usb ... DTG ignores this accessibility issue with my worsening palsy at 73. How i heartily do detest DTG. The hope lis in third-parties.
Yeah, working as a second party to DTG, Rivet have always been fine, great even - as far back as Cathcart Circle. The problems with Rivet came when they were releasing stuff from their third party arm.
Just testing after the update. I can't seem to switch on ETS in the DB red 90. I tried pressing the ETS on button but the indicator light never switched from red to yellow + the RCH cables are still not attaching as they should IRL.
OK. I tested the DB and both Freightliner versions. (Please note that DB dropped the Class 90's July 2023, so that branding is no longer in use for them.) So far, the Speed control is worse than before.I can't get it to work properly in any of these, It never completely stops accelerating but just slows the acceleration down when it gets close to the speed and then overruns it. As I mentioned before, the Class 90 is intended to have actual speed control, similar to AFB, not just speed set. Just read its specs. They are available if you look hard enough. Acceleration is where I would expect it to be, but braking seems a bit off. Release is reasonably fast on 20 car loads, so not sure why this takes so long to release fully. Same issue as on many of the Class 66 models.. Most of the safety systems wok and ETS isn't really required in UK domestic use. Experience scoring seems to be working properly. Headlights are better than some, but still not quite where they should be either.At least I can see the signage at night (unlike the Pendolino and a few others). The whine is still noticeable between 60 and 70 MPH, but is at least tolerable now. All in all This is a significant improvement, but still not where it needs to be. At least it is can be driven at this point. 18 June, 2026 Verified the speed control issue remains with all livery variants. The same appears true for the ETS system. It does not engage in any livery variant. I think I reported this before the update as well. I had to save a timetable to come back to it and did so this afternoon. When I did I kept getting the driver assist message that the battery needed to be turned on. a) the battery switches were all on and b) I have the driver assist messages turned ff in settings.I stopped the train, got out and reset the battery switches and the message went away. In addition to this, one of the services ahead of me got stuck - as in it had a green signal and was not moving. I was not the only train held up so I deleted the service and was able to continue after the queue cleared up..,I have had this happen a couple time before in timetables. I believe this was due to the save and not inherent to the timetable.
Examining with FModel shows the fundamental flaw of the way it is set up internally. Rather than programming the RCH cable as its own cable, they took the ETH cables and made them into the MU cable as well and it lacks the "IsPowered" variable that passenger coaches rely on to sense ETH. Basically they made their entire own proprietary jumper cable set despite the fact that DTG actually made a jumper cable parameter set for the UK AC electric TDM system, which can be found under "TS2Prototype-WindowsNoEditor.pak\TS2Prototype\Content\Core\Cables\E_UK_E024.uasset" which I originally thought would be used on the Class 90 and passed through the RCH jumpers but yet ATS chose not to use it.
How do I release the straight air brake? Even after the update it still sticks at 2.7 despite the train brake being released (5 bar) and straight air brake in the released position.
Yeah it’s a problem. Christmas Delivery scenario is just the same as the issues before where it seems activating the safety systems unless you do some convoluted set up process mean you can’t draw traction. Absolute heap of a DLC still.
I think the update has generally improved things…the major problem continues to be lack of immersive timetabling. The WCMLS timetable is very poor, and the omission of the 90s from Trent Valley is the biggest gap. I generally do my own thing with the 90…maybe an LSL rail tour or spawn my own container consist in and double head them. Shouldn’t be like this, but here we are!
