Emmy_MAN The only thing I'm missing in TSW is the BR 145 locomotive; I haven't bought the Medway Valley Line route. Mir fehlt nur die Lok BR 145 im TSW, die Strecke Medway Valley Line habe ich nicht gekauft.
Hello folks, The missing Expert BR 145 (Or Medway Valley Line) was an issue related to the most recent patch. We released a hotfix that adressed this and it should now be resolved. More info here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/train-sim-world-6-update-notes-may-28th-2026.98127/ All the best, Jan
@Michel.Guinand Take a look in your TSW 6 folder. The .pak file might be there; if so, you can copy it into the DLC folder.
The BR 145 is still available on Series X as typical and expected. Sounds like it might be a PC issue.
Any idea when this patch will be coming to TSW? I've SPAD'ed twice on this service today because I didn't want to come to a stop too early without traction power and therefore braked too late
Apparently the submitted 145 fixes/updates were almost released with the most recent patch. I believe DTG said they are probably coming up in the next round of patches, which was described as being in a few weeks. Still in QA purgatory I guess. I am very much looking to this as well.
From what I've read, the update for the BR 145 and Medway Valley was supposed to be released this week—that's what someone wrote at one point—but that's no longer mentioned there.
I don't have any more news than before, unfortunately. As mentioned before the patch is in QA with DTG so hopefully the wait won't be much longer now, but exactly when only DTG knows
cwf.green, Do you know why that update was included in the update released on 28 May, but was then removed again?
It very concerning, the Br101 asg cutout brake behaviour is not fixed either by dtg, and its an old one. (Introduced by an update, because it was working at release) - when 1 complete bogie is cut off, the brakes of this bogie should work pneumatic during combined braking, which is not the case anymore on the 101. Beside that its really hard to find errors on the 145 . Small things like panto not lowering when changing via selector during driving. Speaks for very good products, both the 101 and 145.
Can confirm, the whole PIS system on that loco is now broken. Deactivated all mods, still broken. Really sad, since it worked just fine before. Can't fix one thing without breaking another thing...
If true i hope it doesnt end up like the 101, where an update messed up the brake behaviour in the situation when 2 asg were disabled in the same bogie. Not fixed until today and very annoying to not have brake pressure when there should be.
Yes, it’s great that there’s an update for the BR 101. But why is it that after updates – which are supposed to improve things – there are always other things that end up breaking? And that hasn’t just happened with the BR 145 Expert, but with other updates as well. Time and again, something is improved, but at the same time, one to three other things end up being broken.
The problem is how DTG has set up their quality control. As has been discussed so many times already, it creates major limitations and makes the whole system painfully slow when it comes to updates. Some updates sit in the queue for months, and small bug‑fix updates don’t get released because every single click on a product sends it straight back into quality control again and that process takes months as well. There are now so many add‑ons that the system they’re using adds very little value and is mostly counterproductive. I imagine 3rd‑party developers are getting fed up with it too. The quality control process has been discussed endlessly on the forum, but DTG either doesn’t know or doesn’t want to adopt a different workflow that would distribute bug‑fixing more effectively across their pipeline.
I have found the solution for the 145 Expert PIS!! You have to turn off and turn on this button FIS: After a few seconds it will reboot with a count down: When the FIS has a reboot it will work. Its not a bug but a future but yeah without extra information how do you know that?! Big thanks to Matin_TSP for his video:
The electric-pneumatic brake behaviour with a whole bogie cut out was fixed last summer, so I need to investigate how it is still broken on the public build (perhaps a later change broke it again - though I highly doubt that as I never touched that part of the Simugraph physics - or perhaps it is a merge issue similar to how the Acela has a wheel slip issue on public builds but not the beta builds on PC). I will also investigate the PIS issue where a reset is needed (missing/broken initialization). This one is even more confusing since I actually worked with QA to test some issues with the PIS before my final submissions for the patch, and this was never flagged (nor did I encounter it myself). I will update here and in the bug/changelist thread once I have an answer. Apologies for the frustration, believe me I'm more frustrated than any of you are!
One "fun" bug I've just figured out: Getting close with the camera to the 145 disables the noises inside the cab of any other rail vehicle you're driving. This causes only the rolling and traction sounds to be audible but silences things like switches, levers, airconditioning etc.. Only the sounds of the safety systems aren't affected but I guess thats because are also intended to be audible in free cam. I've had this with various different trains (e.g. Br 430, IC-CabCar, WiKo). They sounded fine until I've got close to an 145 (regardless of walking or free cam) and then the in cab sounds weren't audible at all. Note: This was also the case before the update yesterday (June 17th), only I hadn't figured out what caused it.
It seems that you are right right now the the choice of route in tsw6 is lottery, you never know where blurness or ctds hit you...
You can expect trouble in routes with a wide variety of different trains. More layers means more expected ram consumption.
