I’m excited to know that it’s a locomotive Dlc for the peninsula corridor but I’ll definitely be surprised when they announce the next route.

I've noticed that DTG tends to release things in cycles: They start with a US-UK-DE route, then they circle around and create a US-UK-DE loco addon. Which means that this is the start of the loco cycle, so we probably won't see a route for some time.

    #underwhelmed

Unless the Baby Bullet is something unique and well worth my money, I’m passing on this.

Agreed. I like the Caltrain route, but the Baby Bullet does virtually the same thing that the original trainset did. Pass.

    I'd rather see more freight.

That'll probably be next cycle if they come. Which, given DTG's speed on past DLC's, means about 6 months to a year. The SW1000 came out around June last year, and now this will probably be released mid-February.

Possibly? But I'd rather put my chances on a locomotive DLC from the next USA route (which I'm guessing would be about 2-3 months from now), which would more likely hit the store in August or September.

As far as I understand it, DTG builds the three routes at nearly the same time (USA, UK, DE) in the cycle, and releases them in a staggered fashion, 2-3 months apart. I figure the loco DLC cycle (USA, UK, DE) are to give the Route Creation Group some breathing room as they create the next set of routes. DTG has been trying to ensure a new addon is released every 2 months, give or take a few weeks.

    That's way too late.
I'd say it's going to be released at around the same time as MSB last year, at the end of February.

One question: if you are not interested in the pc version, why are you reading /posting the pc forum? I might be stupid but this makes no sence tro me, unless there has been a forum reorg after you posted. Have a nice day

Ok to make this clear; PC as in the Peninsula Corridor Route. Like NTP means Northern Trans-Pennie or MSB for Main-Spessart Baun.

Sure, but at the time when I posted this message (Dec 22, 2019) there was no official announcement of the new route. I was just making a suggestion of what could be in the future and it just so happens my lucky guess was right.

I’m hoping for Amtrak Cascades. The SC-44 Chargers and the Talgo equipment would be a nice change. And some Union Pacific freight.

I hope for Sherman Hill. Nice mountains, nice Union Pacific heavy mainline diesels and perhaps the iconic UP 4016.

I think the route self is not so new on TS. But there were some loco dlc's. The last one around 2 weeks ago.

I think the Chicago - Aurora "Racetrack" route would be nice. It was one of my favorite routes in TS. It would fit the avarage TSW route length perfectly without the need to cut the route in half, and the F40 and the gallery cars are already made, they just need a reskin. Same for the freight rolling stock.

Problem is, as we've seen with the version of this route in TS... they don't have a Metra license. AND they ONLY have a BNSF license in the US. Because... well, because it makes for better marketing since it looks more realistic, I don't think they'll ever make unbranded content for TSW.

Yes but many years have passed since then, if they wanted to, maybe they could get licence now. If we can believe them, then even they themselves said in an interview that getting licences is the least of the problems when making routes.
