Another coup for passenger traffic fans! Another disappointment for freight, especially switching ops, fans! And here I am, making another and probably useless plea for the latter. Unless I've missed something, DLC add-on packs include far more passenger-related goodies that freight-related ones. In fact, only one such product -- BR Heavy Freight -- exists. How about some balance, DTG?

The Baby Bullets will bring more variety and more traffic to the Peninsula Corridor. With that Addon we will have the complete rolling stock of Caltrain. That's very authentic and I Iike that very much. I can't wait to experience the acceleration, the engine sound, horn sound and the safety systems of the MP36 in comparison with the F40.

    Very good work DTG.

Postsriptum: It would be very nice if we will get a second american heavy freight route in the near future.

Nothing for the freight side of the route? Not even a UP SD40-2 and couple of freight scenarios? DTG already have the CSX SD40-2, so it's not difficult to make it suitable for this route. They could have increased the appeal of this DLC for those who like freight operations with very little effort. It's a missed opportunity I think.

I remember when Pen Corridor released everyone was asking about this one.....so it's sure to keep many folks here happy. Personally, I was kinda hoping for a new US route for the 1st release in 2020, but this certainly looks nice :)

I am a big fan of peninsula corridor as it’s an American route and also happens to be one of the longest. I’m very excited to see this coming to TSW, it definitely is a very good looking train. I like both passenger and freight services, although I do lean more towards freight. I hope we get a very freight heavy USA route coming soon! Can’t wait to get behind the controls of this locomotive!

Cool! I was wondering when they'd make an MP36 for the TSW version of this route. I bet the motion blur along with the panoramic cab windows will look pretty cool.

Does this mean we have to wait almost a year for a new US route? Are there plans to expand freight in this route?

Just FYI, both the f40 and MP36 are air brake equipped, just that they're manually lapped on both locomotives rather than automatic. Since the F40PH and Nippon Shayro cars have manually lapped air brakes, when the MP36 is coupled to these cars, it has to be compatible with the air brake system, so that's why the MP36 is also equipped with manually lapped air brakes.

But I agree with everyone else who wants additional freight action for this route, at least a GP60 in my opinion would be a change.

MP36 locomotives are equipped with Wabtec 30 A-CDW brake valves, which are self lapping, so all you do is set the auto brake handle to the desired position to take out a certain amount of air from the BP. You don't have to move the handle in and out of apply and lap to get the desired reduction. Regarding compatibility, it doesn't matter what type of brake reduction/application method the controlling end uses, the brakes will work as they should on all cars.

Its a great time for me when it comes to American railroading. Ive been waiting for this loco for a while.
I was even tempted to get this route for TS2020.
And on top of that i recently purchased the Marias Pass dlc.
    One word.............EPIC!!!

Im in freight heaven right now and soon I'll have my "baby bullets" to play with!

By the way, can you imagine something like Marias Pass for TSW? I imagine it would probably take half a decade to complete lol ;)

I'm pleased with this announcement, but let's not forget we're theoretically still due a whole new US route in the next month or so (updated release calendar below), so hopefully there will be freight options on that. Seems to be what people are hungry for!

I’m surprised for any route I hope it’s in Worcester Massachusetts since some of the Mbta Worcester Massachusetts line has CSX freight I would definitely love to see some New England freight.

Damm, i just had a thought. What if they really did release new dlc with a loco that has "SERIOUS" power haul capacity.
This song could be the theme song for the next American dlc.

I wonder if Dovetail would be willing to mix it up a little with some hip hop in a future trailer.
That would completely knock me out of my chair!! Lol:D

A locomotive for me that would be considered having “Serious power haul capacity” are the big MACs; would love an SD80MAC in the game, them 5,000 horses can pull any train, up any hill without breaking a sweat, if they ever do I’ll be hyped! Luv listening to that 20 cylinder 710 rev up!

Would be great for a NS route since they are (or were?) seen hauling trains throughout the system.
