In the list of Train Sim World 6 Updates Notes, one of the bulletpoints for a few updated routes say "Various localisation improvements throughout the route."

Can someone please give me an example what "localisation improvements" would look like or what it means? Meaning, is it an update/improvement I would notice while driving the route?

From what I understand, localization improvements mainly revolve around ensuring text/formatting across different languages are optimized. In my opinion, this may not really be noticeable if you are looking for route updates in regards to scenery/textures when driving the route

Following on from the above, localisation simply can mean fixing spelling errors and typos, and then ensuring that across all supported languages in the content. Typically, they're minor changes, and can be fixes to a few selected objects, or in some cases a single word on a sign.

Meaning, they take few minutes to fix and test, correct?

Could it be given a more-obvious name as to its function?

Nope. You collect bug reports and send them to the localization team(and for each language this could be a separate team located in a different region of the globe). They fix it, test it, and send it back to you. You test it again(If they broke a tag somewhere while making changes to the text, or the text didn't fit into the field, and broke the interface). This takes some time.

These kinds of points really shouldn’t even have to be mentioned in a changelog. It’s not something many people are bothered by, and it’s so minor that bringing it up feels a bit over the top. This is just basic work, isn’t it?
