Yes, it has only been 3 and a half months since the 145 was released, however a new Expert loco is always at the top of my want list. They're too good! I think I have an idea for what the next German Expert loco will be. Considering we've already had Intercity and Freight, there is a more than likely chance that the next one will be a Regional based loco, to "complete" the Expert railscene. It will most likely be a semi-modern loco with screens like the previous two locos, and one that can be seen almost everywhere around Germany, which is why I reckon the 146 will be next. Considering the 145 came for the base TSW6 German route, I will assume the next Expert loco will come with a new route that we do not know as of yet. - It could be a 146.0 for Leipzig Dresden, or for a route set in the 2005's around North Rhine-Westphalia, the Rheine-Neckar region, or around 2010-2015 when they operated around Frankfurt. - I could see a 146.1 coming, however I feel this would best fit with a Metronom license and the Bremen - Hamburg line to operate the RE4 and RB41 services. - I could even see a 146.2 being the next loco, primarily to replace the one we've had since the TSW1 era. With these though, the existing 4th Generation Doppelstockwagen should be updated to Expert level, and include the 3rd/5th Gen Doppelstockwagen as a new type of coach, as they're much needed in the German railscene. Wonder what will be announced August time like what we had with the 145.....
The BR 146 and dostos are already so over used, I don't think it will be a good concept for a expert loco. In my opinion it's a better idea to come with a new loco, not one excisting in the game already.
Dont get me wrong there are some great German locs/routes. But I would like to see a UK or US expert loco for a change.
Also spare a thought for those of us who want a class of loco but not necessarily in expert guise, both for price and playability reasons. I mean, the grail for many of us would be a V200 (BR220) but not if just in expert mode.
I agree. I'm a simple man and don't use any of the advanced features an expert loco features. The basic BR101 for example is good enough for me. I don't want to be spending premium price for all kind of features I'm not going to use. Whatever expert loco is next, please also add a regular variant for the regular price tag.
I really doubt TSG will come with a UK or US loco and to be honest, I also hope they don't. There are not many 3rd party developer for German stuff, so I hope they keep concentrating on German stuff.
It would be a nice change if it were a diesel multiple unit this time, such as the Expert BR 612, 628, or 622.
Since the 145 has been announced TSG has become unpredictable. We only know their goal with an expert loco is that it must include something entirely new. Wether they want to top the 145 with the next one or settle with the existing features is also important. Since they tend to develop old'ish rolling stock i think a 120 or 151 are good options. For even more expert features and to add an both visually and technically outstanding loco it would be the 159. If they would do an ICE (which i doubt) i think the most likely one would be a 407 or 408. Why not a 402? Because DTG probably has plans for that by now. Since the expert loco will probably be used for the new german core route it highly depends on what this route will be.
A Br 186 expert could be Amazing,a 189 or 152 could be also interesting or 120 why not a train different in expert could be Euro 9000.
Expert EMU - yes! But double productions don't seem like a good idea. See all the endless discussions with the 101, which did not happen with the 145.
I'm not so satisfied with the the Expert locos so far. The 101 and the Bpmmbdzf 286.3 in timetable mode and activated Expert mode working fine. But in scenarios it is so often that you can't release the breaks, the speedometer is not functioning, in the middle of the drive the doors control shows that the doors are open, and at the end you can't finish some scenarios.
That has more to do with you making mistakes as the driver, not with the product itself. I recommend reading the manual, especially the section about the "zugsammelschiene". If the train loses power, you’ll get issues like this. With this train it’s not just ‘load the game and drive’. You really need to know what you’re doing. So no, this isn’t caused by the product it’s caused by your actions.
And why I have that problems in scenarios only? In timetable mode the Expert locos are functioning well. I never had a not releasing brake or a hiding of the speedometer.
Mmmm thats odd yeah... I have never seen anybody written about this problem. Maybe a simpel question but do you have mods installed? Or do you play on consoles? Maybe mods are being the problem then
Okay did you reach out to DTG via a ticket? If you did not better wait until next week and checked if its fixed in next patch. If thats not the case please send in a ticket. cwf.green did you know more about this matter maybe?
