massive shame that this thread will be gone forever this time next week, with no suitable alternative for where else a new one could be started

I'm aware of the announcement that changes are going to be made to the fourms, but how do we know for sure this thread will be gone completely?

I was never able to install it automatically but I did manage to do it manually.

Works pretty well with the Logitech Quadrant although I can't get a good braking configuration for the Class 66. For a train with a combined throttle and brake it's perfect.

If you need more complex configurations and mappings you can always use the TSW Controller App (https://tsw-controller-app.vercel.app/)

Has anyone been able to use this program with the new GP60m? I'm trying to use it with a TSC-X, when I move the throttle down, once it gets to notch 4 the dynamic brake kicks on , goes all the way to full, and the throttle goes all the way to zero. I've tried using a few different "enabled assets" but it can't get it to work. Not sure if it's a core issue with how hardware support is set up in the locomotive? I haven't seen this behaviour in any other american diesels before. Thanks.

How were you able to do it manually?

    I own a TSC-X too and I used it on the gp60
but I did not try it out on both trains yet only one version
    and it worked fine
I did follow this this tutorial
TSC X Setup for Train Sim World (TSW) Tutorial
and created new lever mapping and button mapping
I am sure there are better ways out now on how to configure it and such

Oops … operator error. I just had the wrong profile loaded…. Since the GP60M is a new(ish) locomotive Cobra’s software just went with the default loaded…

What profile are you using with the GP60? I tried a bunch but couldn’t find one that worked properly.

I tried the CCS AC4400W & the SPG AC4400W profile and it has the same issue of being at notch 4 in idle. Not sure what could be the problem since yours worked so I refunded.

So this is a long time problem I have been having with TSW Raildriver abd Joystick Interface V2.0.1.5 is that it seems ro hang on numerous occassions. Only error message i get in Windows Application log is that it hung ang I closed it :

When I close and restart the interface - the Raildriver immediately shows the spped, but states it is waiting for TSW which is all ready running and in an activity timetable or scenario. After a while it will reconnect without any further fiddling with me - almost as a timeout has to expire. Anyway - if anyone else has had this problem or knows of a fix or workaround - I would appreciate it

If your using anything other than a raildriver I can not recommend enough as Liah has mentioned previously the TSW Controller App, once you wrap your head around setting up the profiles you will have no more lever issues again. You can control the lever by sending direct values to the game with infinite control over when those values sent, it requires a little more in the way of setup for each loco but the level of control transforms the experience.

I use a mixture of that and Cobras software, I use TSW Controller App for the levers and controls where there is no keyboard assigned (and to also split some like the AWS and Alerter, it annoys me that sometimes I cant just use the reset that I wish to as both a tied to 'Q') and I use Cobras for assigning keyboard keys to switches or buttons (its ability to copy button maps means you can have a pretty quick setup for keys that are consistent through different locos / trains.

I just want to say that Cobras software was revolutionary and if you are using a Raildriver is still the best for purpose at this stage and having been a user of Cobras software since the beginning (in fact it was his TSC software that prompted me to build a custom controller) I am very interested to see the new software he is working on that uses the api

the H2 version works with raildriver
but it is the H4 that will not work with raildriver
sometimes it moves throttle and dynamic (in the cab) at the same time when pulling or pushing the combined throttle/dynamic lever

i thought the same until I changed the profile in Raildriver to the AC4400. Did a couple of runs and the Raildriver and GP60M played nice with each other.

Since I don't speak English, I ran everything through a translator. Unfortunately, I accidentally tried to install the TSC version. Of course, that didn't work, and now I can't install the TSW version. I’ve tried everything recommended on the 25 pages here, but I keep running into the issue that PieHid64.dll needs an update. There are probably remnants of the TSC version lingering in the registry, and I’m not going to mess around in there. I give up.
Despite everything, thanks to CobraOne and everyone else who makes something like this possible in the first place.

In the dropdown box in TSW Raildriver and Joystick Interface, it was the first AC4400 you come to in that list … not at my system right now but will double check when I get a chance.

yeah that one works because it does remove dynamic brake from the TSC-X so you have to use the keyboard for dynamic brakes

On the rail driver, it works as it should -- Idle to full throttle - above idele - dynamic brake set-up then fwd to apply dynamics
I don't have a TSC-X but you should be able to msp the dynamics to the upper range of the throttle. I have been modifying the DE loco's profiles snd have assigned the rocker switch next to the arrow keys to AFP controls - working great.

EDIT - ME CULPA, ME CULPA. OOPS - you are total correct - none of the Profiles work with the GO60M H4 —— When I was fiddling around I must have loaded the H2 and was called away because of real life “Honey-Do” requirements … when I came back to it, TSW was paused and I made some changes to the Raildriver and was overjoyed when I restarted the timetable, the dynamics and throttles were working, failing to realize I was on the wrong loco. HUMBLEST OF APOLOGIES Thorgred for passing bum information. Looks like I will need to dig into the pak file and muck around with the xml to correct… never have done that before, but always up for an adventure. :)
