I have found also this a bit bizar.... Improved suspension physics of the TEA tanker to reduce the stiffness and make it more visible. Why you are willing to add suspension to a cargo wagon....? I can understand in a train with a cab but for a freight wagon i dont get it...
The separate 158 timetable still exists. The 158 was never on the original timetable so nothing is being removed.
No it's not been removed. The 158 timetable will still be there. With the 158 available to drive... Yeah they should've made two timetables, one including it and one not
"Added playable Class 158 and 170 services (including mixed 158/170 formations) between Glasgow Queen Street and Greenhill Junction (near Falkirk), and AI at Glasgow Queen Street' Ooh so you can do it for one route but not the other!
I do have to say that I find it very strange that the route they actually belong on isn’t being used, and instead they’re deployed on a route where it’s completely unrealistic. The 158 is the train for the Fife Circle Line, and by removing it there’s practically nothing left except unrealistically running around on Edinburgh–Glasgow. A duplicate timetable is the solution
Also, no driveable LNER services on Fife Circle is definitely an odd choice as well considering the GBR 802 has been released and does provide services on ECML.
We currently have a base TT without 158 and another Sprinter TT that uses 158, for both E2G and FCL. Tomorrow we'll have an updated base TT that seems to use the 158 on E2G and not on FCL (same as we have now), while the sprinter TTs remain the same, so nothing is really being removed... just not being equally added. Still a shame they didn't add the 220 to the sprinter TTs, but that must be because those are Skyhook's.
Seems to be taking a little longer than expected to re-add the sneakily removed content from Birmingham to Crewe. I am sure it has just been overlooked from the update notes.
Looks to be a lot of good changes in both Edinburgh to Glasgow & Fife Circle, but echo the disappointment on the lack of 158. The separate 158 timetable is extremely sparse so very much impacts realism and immersion. So to not have the 158 on its home route is pretty poor and makes the purchase a bit of a nonsense imo. As far as the new timetable on Edinburgh to Glasgow goes I hope that the rush hour services stopping at Bishopbriggs & Lenzie have been added as well as the late night services that were excluded. If the timetable has been amended but left these changes out it would be very disappointing and hugely missed opportunity to add additional gameplay and variation. Also doesn’t appear to be any mention of rain appearing on the 385 drivers windscreen, I do hope that has also been remedied.
"Updated HST layer to use the Great Western Express HST" I guess that finally confirms the Scotrail one that was supposed to be coming is dead, then
In the Class 158 timetable for Fife Circle there was a layer for a scotrail hst, Edinburgh Glasgow used the GWE one
Ah I see. I wouldn't give up hope just yet though, you can still change a layer. At least this enables it in the interim.
It will be interesting to see how the 385 audio changes, as I’ve read the blurb a couple of times and can’t see that the traction sounds per se are changing. A few bits and pieces but not the strangled bagpipes that Rivet initially fed into Simugraph.
Going by the lack of it being mentioned in the updates, I guess we can continue to enjoy trackside "scenery" like this on Fife Circle then... This, ladies and gents, is one of the busiest stretch of motorways in Scotland and the approach to the Queensferry Crossing....I think somebody might have stolen the bridge !
