Hello, Now we have seen Routes with a distance totaling 120 miles, it would be nice to see the Midlands Mainline extended from Sheffield to London with a distance of 139 miles with the use of the Bombardier Class 222.
I don't think they'd make it all in one go, especially as the Leicester to Derby (and Nottingham) section already exists
More likely would be something like Leicester to London or maybe Kettering and Corby to London (with the class 360), either one of them would be nice to see.
thing is it’s not just route length it’s total stations. Each additional station tanks memory. The “120 mile” route, Kassel-wurzburg (which is actually 116 miles btw), has only 3 stations. But Sheffield to St Pancras has close to 40 and is longer. St Pancras to Corby is a much more sensible route choice. 360 and 700 included as core with the 222 as an additional DLC, adding to the existing timetable but should also add an EMT timetable to run alongside the existing HST set we have in game, in that era the 222 ran a shuttle between Corby and Kettering funnily enough
Skyhook have already said they see no commercial viability in extending MML further and I seriously doubt any other developer is going to want to duplicate a section that already exists. There’s an outside chance at some point we could get the “BedPan” section from London to Bedford as a standalone, but north of Bedford I would say forget it.
