Just Trains website has confirmation of TSW7.
however, they don't say *when* that will be if course. :P

 

I expected leaks to happen but holy that is fast.
I guess that also confirms it wont be a new numbering system.

It IS going to be TSW7, but...im still curious about why they didn't announce it like 6...

What is DTG hiding? They must have something up their sleeve they don't want us knowing.

I don’t really worry about all those theories being shared on the forum I’m not getting involved in that. A lot of it is complete nonsense and assumptions without any real backing. For me, one thing is certain: TSW7. And beyond that, I’m not going along with all that speculative nonsense.
Besides Rush Hour it was every year the same story with routes in the same area/counties

James Day, you don't know him? I don't know his exact role at DTG, a type of manager if I have to make a guess.

 

It's not exactly a leak, the "next iteration of TSW" was announced in the Pullup / DTG financial statement back in March.

JD is the community and marketing manager who accidentally leaked the existence of the then unannounced TSW3 in a live stream a few years ago. It’s been a running gag since then, JD=leaks.

Since we already have speculations about a possible Northern route, we can't really have two at the same time...

So, ive had a brainstorm.

TSW2020, introduced 3 core routes, and an exclusive deluxe edition route...

Maybe, instead of deluxe locos, this year, they're doing a deluxe route.

Which COULD be an SWR route.

 

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was deliberate lol. Everyone and their dug knows it’s TSW7 anyway. Not really surprising. I’m more curious to see what colour the title will be. Bet it’s Green or Purple.

 

Im also betting a core route will be an old BR blue era, probably North east, such as York as thats a big content gap on the map.
I'm also thinking a Class 43 intercity, with the proper coaching stock to go with it, as that is also mysteriously lacking in presence.

An Expert BR Blue Class 37 would be a winner too.

 

There is basically zero chance of the core route being set in the BR era.

 

Before Blackpool Branches and WCMLoS there would have been, but I can see DTG trying to MBS themselves into that success.

 

Dovetail haven't done a single core-game UK heritage route since NTP (TSW2020). Every other has been modern day.
The last heritage route they made was PFR and the only heritage content released (arguably) since was the WSR Remaster.

They appear to have zero interest in it now, as much as ever.

 

How many WCML routes before WCMLoS? How many since?

NTP is a good route. They can do it there just needs to be a will.

 

I think JT's BR work makes a BR core route even less likely as what's likely to happen is an unfavourable comparison to them that makes no one actually happy

 

The best modern UK route from what I see people saying is Riviera Line, which either says DTG can do it when they want, or the third parties for this kind of content are not the cream.

 

They now "fixed" the TSW7 reveal.

 

If it's a TSW7 route is the "Compatibility: Train Sim World 6" statement not a concern now? That's gotta go.

I think there could be some very interesting phone calls tomorrow morning from a certain Mr Peddlesen at DTG to a certain Mr Ford at JT...

Anyhow we always knew it would be TSW7 so no biggie really, just takes the wind out of Direct's sails a little bit. At this point, they might as well bring Direct forward and get on with the PR fluff.

To be honest this isn't exactly like leaked information from Area 51. We all knew TSW7 is on the horizon... Nothing substantial has been leaked in this case and it hasn't exactly revealed much outside of what we already know. Storm in a teacup!

 

That was i had written.... Its something you know when you play TSW a bit longer. Nothing special under the Horizon.

No! There is nobody calling nobody... This how modern selling works. You often spots such things on different webshops for different products... For example phone cases are revealing the size/shape of a new coming phone and thats very difficult to prevent and a lawsuit or punishment for such things is not very common.

 

I reckon the UK Route will be somewhere on the ECML with how much it’s been requested recently. I would be so happy if it was the Edinburgh - Newcastle section or It could also be a good chance to get Kings Cross into TSW also. They could extend the part we already have down to Kings Cross.

 

We all knew this would happen.

But it is such a shame JT are now getting flack for it, it hurts to see them potentially getting punished like that, considering they're one of the best third parties.

TBH TSW7 is the least surprising bit of news so not a huge leak from JT. It could have even been a placeholder from JT based on previous years without actually knowing it would actually be the case and misconstrued as something worse, mistakes happen.

 

Im not sure, I feel like putting that up could be breaking some sort of NDA, but we all knew it was coming anyway, so maybe not.

If not, maybe it was a placeholder for the future.

Don't be so dramatic.... It's how selling such stuff works and besides it's fun!!! Nobody is braking anything.... It could be intentional as well... Nobody talks about that but I'm nearly sure this to hype the whole story and they make fun of us how we doing so dramatic.... It's fun enjoy it and being pleased we see some information about the next game version I should say

 

Maybe they are secretive this year and not announcing the regions of the routes because its not going to be the usual 3 countries this year.

I could see a US route being dropped for Austria or the Netherlands.

And on a stream when asked why DTG haven't made any more UK routes this year Matt said the 3rd parties were covering enough of the region. But I doubt they would drop a UK route from the package.

And we do have alot of Germany coming so maybe no German route?

All guessing on my end so don't take it too seriously.

 

Personally i wouldnt expect them to ever change any of the 3 as these probably make up the largest part of the playerbase and everything else would be a shot in the dark financially.
Also it wont make sense to leave out germany since there are only a view 3rd partys for that so IF one had to be left out it would be the UK.

Just my opinion.

 

But now they have to sell it for TSW6, as the website now clearly states TSW6. I'm not gonna upgrade to TSW7, if they don't sell it for TSW6, I will see them in court
