Hi I noticed everytime I drive the ÖB1116 in Semmeringbahn or Salzburg - Rosenheim the locomotive keeps applying the breaks softly, even if they‘re fully released. Sometimes I drive on a gradient of 0.6% on notch 2-3 and the locototive slowly looses speed over time. They breaks should be fully released but it sure af doesn’t feel like. PS5. Anyone else???
I made the same report about a month ago: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/obb-taurus-brake-issue.98421/ So yes it's bugged sadly.
I had the same problem on PC a few months ago. I think if you hold the brakes in the release position for too long then the pressure in the brake line becomes too high. I noticed that if you move the brake lever to release only for a moment, then the pressure will reach 5 bar after maybe 10 seconds or so. However, if you hold the brake in the release position until the pressure is at 5 bar then the pressure will keep increasing and it becomes harder to release the brakes. Unfortunately, I don't know how the PS5 controller works or what options you have for controlling the brake lever.
Thanks for this tip, I normally hold the release position for a while. On controller it's the left bumper button, you can hold. This is actually the only train I have this issue with, I'm gonna try to only use the brake release shortly.
Thanks chaps, I thought I‘m too dumb to release the handbrake or something, but apparently it‘s a bug. You need to set it on notch 8 to even start to move, this can‘t be normal behavior when the breaks are fully released
Today I did a trip with the Taurus to test your tip and I can confirm the problem not occurs when I do not hold the brake release. I guess this is still a bug and not prototypical, but at least I can use the loco now. Thanks for your help!
