In comparison maybe not as important of a loco but the leak itself comes close to the level of the 390 leak 2 years ago.
I hope we get a 331 with it as i like CAF made EMUs quite much.

Is it just me or does it seem like the more DTG tries to avoid leaks the more leaks appear?

this was meant to be in a roadmap a few months ago, maybe skyhook are heavily involved in the core route? it explains their lack of tsw content apart from the cargo line packs and frankly i’d prefer them to rivet

Yikes… well that ruins the UK reveal. Won’t be long until the German and US route get leaked too I’d guess.

Also wouldn’t it have been better to post the leaks as a spoiler post… not everyone would have wanted to know before the official reveal.

If it's the whole thing and not cut short at a random point like Cardiff, should be a lot of fun, imo. Different ways to go, lots of services. Should be an Azuma layer too with a couple of services to/from Skipton and Bradford Forster Square

Especially if someone has nothing more interesting to do in life than spend all their time looking for something to spoil...

Well if it is the route, something different and might be worth a punt. The Skyhook 158 is very good and while the 331 will be a one handled experience at least it has a panoramic cab window and hopefully will come with decent sounds. Can I dare to hope they don't stop at Skipton and carry on to Carlisle via the S&C!?

Ah well, all the SWT speculation was fun I suppose. But still, this Leeds based route makes a lot of sense, and I love the class 333 to be fair. Probably won't be a purchase from me given that I don't really have any personal connection to the line though.

To be fair it doesn't mean an SWT route couldn't be still on the cards with this as the core and SWT as a third party or vice-versa

They also run Doncaster to Leeds stoppers, but that 158 wouldn't make sense to be a 3 carriage unit in that instance

I hope not. The exact same network was recently released by ATS for TSC, which strongly suggests that Max Tracks/ATS made this. That would be very underwhelming for me personally. I was hoping for something ECML, GWR or around London involving Thameslink, c2c, or SWT.

Actually on reflection it would be a bit underwhelming for a keynote route release, where is the LAMPOIL for a “Leeds/Bradford Local” route, hardly iconic in the sense of Riviera last year or the stretch of ECML the previous year. Unless, as speculated, it is the Settle & Carlisle with a bit of local action at the south end.

Really hope they include the stretch from Leeds to Doncaster as that would make it a complete route as the class 333's do operate to Doncaster from Leeds. Also on a different note I think the German route is going to have an ICE 4 Velario as someone on Facebook mentioned how a member of the community who was working on making an ICE 4 and was nearly finished now works for DTG. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EeFPGAwK6/

Said person who started developing the ICE Velaro D 2 years ago is Folezz who recently founded the 3rd party Folezzworld. Never heard anything about them being directly involved in DTG projects.
Since DTG develops the most requested rolling stock the new ICE this year would likely be the ICE 4 given it being the by far most requested train by the playerbase.

How incredibly disappointing if this is it for TSW7. Really hoped we’d get a decent SWT route with some decent main line mileage.

Which route will the ICE 4 be taking?

It is for me personally not a real surprise if it's not a SWR route. A license that shows up as is new doesn't mean it will result in a new core route. And from my understanding DTG has this license a bit longer now. If you watch that interview with Johannes on TSS stream he seams to say that DTG have this license for a longer period now.

It runs on nearly every mainline in all of germany so its hard to say. If it were for DTG to build a route which is much requested and runs the ICE 4 while having a reasonable distance i would pick one of the following:
    Hamburg-Bremen
    Stuttgart-Ulm
    Würzburg-Nürnberg
Altough i hope for Berlin to make an appearance which sadly is unlikely.

The lights stay dark in East Anglia for a while longer then.
I'm looking forward to an Eastern Region route albeit in the M62 belt where we already have tonnes of content, but an Eastern Electric route is welcome nonetheless. I appreciate there are likely no through services but if this tops-off the ECML route with Doncaster to Leeds and has one of the electric branches (Skipton would be my favourite) then I'd be happy.

If the core traction is a 158 and an electric unit it would be brilliant to have an additional DLC of the Class 91 Mk 4 sets which could also include a new ECML timetable with perhaps a mix of HST, 91s and IETs to bring that particular route to life and match the timetable up to the Leeds section.

So was the leaked route from yesterday the same as was mentioned a few weeks ago? The image is gone now.

With all the TSW7 leaks/"leaks" at this point, I wonder if they'll just confirm it with a quick article and then try to build hype for what specifics will be revealed in the August direct?

At this point they do this on purpose. Alex said they would do a different approach this year so this is probably how they do it.
I expect an announcement in early august.

I didn't see the leaked photos, but from what I've read afterwards it seems to be a route based in Leeds possibly.

Basically it was just an image of a file (that got put in early I guess) that's name (and apparent location in the folders) contains the audio announcements to be played on a Class 333 and a model (game model not like a hornby model) of a 3 car Northern 158

A class 333 is a very iconic British train! I like to have that in game. The route it self i think there is more exciting to have.

It was claimed to be a "show us your work" mock up and nothing to do with anything related to a DLC at all. Which they do all the time.

Imo it's an attempt to not do an "oh shoot" moment. I'm fairly tin foil these days but I think it's ECML this year, core and third partys like Skyhook and Rivet.

Rivet still have a 170 and a timetable DLC they could do for Northern and make bank.
Skyhook already said other 158s are more interesting right now (other than GWR) so I think they have or are doing something there.

    It's ECML or parts thereof

fair enough, that’s a relief. i’d like more ecml too, but is your prediction of it being that based more on desire or actual evidence?

A little of both to be honest.

    - There are the updates to the Class 801,
    - the mention of a Class 800 not being in game 'currently' being edited,
    - the SR 158 and Edinburgh Waverley being updated and standardised, (route hop?)
    - LNER and XC being added to default experience timetables (not the extra 158 one)
    - Skyhook mentioning there being other 158s more interesting when asked about a GWR one.

And then a dash, rather heavy, of hope and dot connections that may or may not connect

i wasn’t aware of half of these so thanks for bringing these to my attention, consider me much more convinced. fwiw, ats have also hinted at more packs for the 90 which could also mean a 91 further down the line. presumably a deluxe loco if so

And ATS did say there was passenger stuff coming on the class 90s preview stream, but wouldn't confirm it was *for* the 90. With everything else it's looking more and more likely...

Actually hope it is Airedale/Wharfdale and not ECML... we don't need more IETs imo. (Same with Electro/Turbostars (and I love turbostars). I want new trains we haven't seen before in TSW.

Kind of agree but again it just doesn’t seem very iconic or standout for a core route. Anyway I’m guessing once again bang goes any chance of getting something with mountains and small diesels rasping and squealing through tight curves on 1 in 50 gradients…

Seems odd that ATS would be working on the UK flagship route though given the mixed reception they’ve received for other work. But then again Rivet weren’t exactly lauded at the time they did WCMLS. Does beg the question about what’s happened to Rivet though…

Maybe ATS have decided to do the West Yorkshire Metro as there little area in the same way JT does BR, Rivet does ScotRail and AABS does modern WCML.

Rivet might be working on Edinburgh to Berwick north, Waverley was just updated and they own all the SR stuff except the 158, or something from Waverly up towards Aberdeen for these HST
