The letterbox cab views I definitley agree with. So disappointing they are still being made. The 730 Could have been a better looking train without that gangway!

The whole letterbox cab view can't exactly be blamed on DTG (although I'd like to I know say that is not the implication from most people), if that's how they are in real life, that is how they are. The same can be said for the 'one handle' argument... That's how they are in real life.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy the challenge of something like an 86/87, but through experience of the game even one handled units have different performances. An Electrostar like a 377 will perform completely different to something like the 350. I prefer the Electrostar range as I feel I have more control... The challenge isn't really in the acceleration with modern units, I always find it's in mastering the braking technique of each unit and having the memorise it's performance (for example an Electrostar you only really want to use brake notches 1 and 2 most of the time, where as on some Desiros & 8xx I've been told you never want to brake beyond 50% which is apparently how they'd be driven in real life. And the Pendolino I can manage most of the time only using brake notches 2 & 3)... It's all about the knowledge of driving each units unique style for me.

Anyway I won't detail the topic to much.

Oh of course. I blame the designers of said trains. I suppose trains aren't made to look nice or please the driver. It is a shame though.

One of many reasons why on the Southern based routes, I like to alternate between the 313 and the 377. I actually find the 313 much more responsive, although it can be very sluggish at times, which is absolutely great. I also seem to see a deterioation in performance during extreme wet weather, not sure if I'm imagining that or it's deliberate, but again very fun to navigate. The 377/387/375 is nice to drive but is very easy by comparison, especially braking. The 700 is super responsive and I don't think I've ever overshot a platform driving one. Vote of confidence in Siemens there!

If by some miracle we do get something Mk3 derived like a 455, or the holy grail of Mk1 slam-door EMUs, it will hopefully be a unique drive experience - would love a bit more of a push on wheelslip characteristics like TSC seem to manage to capture!!

this is something I've been thinking heavily about...

The direct is still a month away, and the fact we pretty much know what its entire point is going to be already WITH the addition of these leaks almost makes it feel to good to be true.

What if, JT leaking TSW7 like this twice in a row, is just all a deliberate marketing strategy, and an act for DTG?

Think about it, JT doing that, twice in a row, for such a big new title, cant be an accident nor a coincidence? it feels more deliberate to try and stir up speculation and get the hype moving.

DTG Alex, stated in a stream, that they were going to do things differently this year, what if, with these leaks, we're being let down an alley dead end?
Yeah, JT slipped up, but what if that was the entire point?

What if, the real thing they're developing, may not even be TSW7?

    Also to add on.
If leaks are not allowed on the forums, then how come the JT store page and Facebook leaks haven't been deleted yet?

This further makes me feel like its deliberate.

I think that's stretching the theory out a bit to much. I genuinely think JT made a hiccup on there end and nothing more.

I don't think it's as deep or intriguing either. We all practically know, whatever the next title of the game, it's only going to be the yearly natural successor. With the evidence we have so far that is.

If we get some more in-depth leaks I'd be willing to speculate more, but from the evidence we have so far it just looks like the yearly release... The only thing I'm excited about at the moment is the DLC announcements.

The ongoing optimisation issues and other little niggles have put a bit of a dampener on the whole thing for me personally. Last year the selling point was 'further optimisations' as a selling point, and a year later, with the exception of MVL, they are all still there.

I hate the be a buzz kill, but that's my opinion atleast. I'm not hyped as of now (if no one can tell already).

Come to think of it, it might be so.
The fact that TSW 7 is being released in which DTG has developed three new routes and three new trains (as in previous years) and is (once again) ignoring all the existing bugs, not to mention the problem of having to redownload everything, is a bit hard to stomach.
Either it's something profoundly different, or how TSW will end, only God knows.

Nothing else for it then. We'll have to have a route with trains that have large windscreens. A 321, 357, 720, 745 or perhaps a 333.

Oh no I much prefer the noses. The flat ends look old fashioned to me. It also helps aerodynamics

I have a feeling the UK route will showcase GBR in some way.
So I am clinging on to the hope of LTS or GE especially as they made a big thing last week of becoming GBR Anglia with a re liveried 357 and 720.
