    Ooooh... that's not good.
This won't be a 66 replacement at all then.

He's forgotten about three other routes, WCMLTVL, B2C and MILDMAY. It's not as sparce as the 90. It also comes with a brand new timetable for the MML

Not sure it has a particular home route but WCML TVL has the most services for it I believe

I sure hope so. The Class 90 thing was very disheartening. I intend to get it, but also don't want to be disappointed.
Anyway, I still have my Class 47 if all else fails.
Can't get tired of that! ;-)

Is this accurate from the Class 70 TSW Fandom page?
    Routes
    Layer Routes
Wasn't Thames Valley supposed to be on there too? Or did they mean Trent Valley?
Do we know the extent of some of these? For example some are just MOW and stock moves I think, many at night.
How much of it is actual regular freight moves when you can see something?

I have heard a lot of freight does move at night in the UK, but it doesn't make for seeing much of a route that way for playability.

from what we’ve seen it’s pretty much a guarantee it will be. i wouldn’t be surprised if it costs £20 and that’ll be a fair price for what’s included

Is it going to be an expert level loco rather than the rubbish produced by ATS?

it’s not an expert loco by name but it seems pretty close. like the 843, it’s not branded as being the best of the best, but it’ll go far beyond the functionality we’d expect from a normal loco

Well the Thames Valley hasn't officially released as of yet, so assumingly they've not confirmed it until release.

This locomotive will appear on the Thames Valley Line. Johannes, the add‑on creator, has already confirmed this. It was mentioned during one of the recent livestreams.

It's also there in the TVB layers list with some engineering jobs to offer additional confirmation if needed

My point was that's probably why TSW fandom hasn't added it to their route layers list.

the home route for the class 70 will be midland mainline (which is obvious, since it will be the route featuring scenarios for it; as for the rest, it's just timetables/layers)

In previous years, namely 2024 and 2025, all the DLCs in the 0-3 months category by the July roadmap were released before the Direct, so would still expect the class 70 and Nürnberg-Ingolstadt to come out before Aug 25th. In fact, would expect them in the first days of August as I'm sure DTG wants a good 2-3 weeks between the last release and the Direct.

With Tadami coming next week, I would guess August 4th or 6th for this. With any luck.

    honestly? I don't think so
I think they'll focus their efforts now on fixing the performance issues with tadami so as to release it for TSW6
as for nürnberg-ingolstadt and class 70, I think those will be TSW7 releases

but of course, I could be completely wrong

I think all 3 might now wait until after the Direct. For the 70 and Nurnberg-Ingolstadt if they're not announced this week I think it won't happen in TSW6 as they'll want a couple weeks release free before the Direct. And on Tadami, they said weeks rather than days on their announcement yesterday so I see it unlikely to happen in time to release within TSW6.

Perhaps there will be a release spree in October-November

I had a feeling the class 70 would be the final release for TSW6. But with Tadami line postponed DTG may delay projects while working with the third party to sort Tadami out.

midland main line and trent valley will be the "home routes" for the 70
however, only midland main line will include scenarios

    and a brand new Timetable.
To be honest the Midland Mainline route is shouting so badly for Toton Depot. I mean technically now it can be done as all the 60's have gone lol :D

The track and some placeholder buildings for Toton were all there when the route was first released, then they locked us out of it. Really annoying!

Pretty sure it’s in Crewe-Birmingham as well, the layers are already visible.

Yep, it's in the layers of Trent Valley and B2C. I think it's actually not in WCMLS though, I reviewed the layers some days ago and didn't see it.

Stand corrected, in June's roadmap it clearly says it'll layer into WCMLS, B2C, Trent Valley plus it's own TT for MML.
