Hello there! It has been a relatively long time since I actively posted progress on my projects here but after some small recent circumstances, I decided to change that, atleast for a little bit^^ Maybe the one or another still knows me from 2024 where I was sharing here progress on my original Almtalbahn route. For all who haven't heard that much from me - Hi, I'm FreddieTheShepherd, Freddie for short. I play TSW since 2021 and fell in love pretty fast, I come from Austria and as soon as the first Austrian route released, I was really excited. I also discovered the PC editor for me and since then I worked on a few Austra-regarding projects, always with the aim to bring as much Austria into TSW as possible Feel free to visit my TSC site where all of my mods are available: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/user/969726-freddie-the-shepherd/uploads So, enough of speaking about me, it's time to speak about my projects^^ I will use this thread most likely to share my mini-roadmaps here to, maybe also some WIP stuff aswell - don't expect a weekly journal here XD Freddie's Roadmap! - 5.7.2026 Hello everyone!^^ It's been a long time maybe since you heard from me, but I thought why not making a roadmap as I have many news to share about coming updates and new projects and some special things to look forward to! So, let's get started! Mod Updates Probably one of the rather small points on my roadmap is, that there are several updates coming to my mods the next time. I started with the 5022 recently and today I published one for the 1293. There are further updates coming to some of my mod, which include: 5022 Update (once again xD) - adding announcements, fixing the new DisplayLight feature Eurofima Wagon - fixing a few things, maybe adding even new wagons and liveries (e.g. the orange C1-livery) Salzburg-Rosenheim EP - probably will be a long time until it comes but the scenery will be heavily improved ÖBB 1116 Enhancement & Expansion Pack - Cooming soon! One of the hardest-to-work-for mods I have been working on recently, the ÖBB 1116 EEP! A mod that will add about 40 new liveries for the SBN ÖBB 1116, including Railjet variants, the 1016, CAT, and more! Also, this mod will feature some overall improvements like added logos, Startup-Screen improvements and a few new features like the famous sound-test screen! As this mod is nearly finished, get excited for it to be realeased as the final features make their way into it and be excited for what to come! (I wish I would have some in-cab photos to to show ;- ÖBB 4024 Expansion - Nearing completion! Yeah, you heard right! A mod that is in the works for a few years now seems to be finally some sort of nearing completion. Although it's still all heavy work in progress with many open wounds to be filled, the signals are good for the 4024 to be finished soon! Included with the 4024 as we remember are: New liveries for SBN, SRM and VBRG (Cityjet, CityShuttle, regional versions, advertisement versions) New cab features like CCTV and kinda-Expert Display with a lot of new pages Sort-of soundmod which roughly improves the 4024 sounds to match the original more! ...and more! News will be shared when it's time for it! Almtalbahn: Wels - Grünau im Almtal - DEMO COOMING SOON! After half a year of pause I'm happy to share some good news regarding my all-time project, the Almtalbahn (v2)! Progression in scenery building was really good the last months and so I can say, that the scenery up to Sattledt is almost finished! Because of this and some services ending already in Sattledt, I decided to work on a demoversion once everything is ready, that will be shared here on TSC with you! I can't wait for that to happen but before I want to ensure a fine experience when driving the route and takes it's time News regarding that will be shared in the next weeks/months - I am very excited and so should you too!^^ And yeah, that was pretty much it for now!^^ I hope this kind of thread is something a few people like, I try the best to design it logic somehow^^ I really look forward for your reactions and comments and will be eager to reply as best as I can, FreddieTheShepherd
Wow! I'm really looking forward to the release of all these great projects. Thank you! Since you deliver the best content for Austria, I would love to see proper timetables for the austrian routes from you as well. But no pressure, you've got enough projects ongoing.
The great comeback Otherwise, I was wondering what DLC will be required for Almtalbahn except Maintalbahn (obviously) and DB BR 204 that we see in the image ? Especially since Steam is having its summer sales, so it's perfect to get ready now.
Well, timetables are clearly not my strength and I struggled with them, there are people who can them do better than me^^' The 204 is not really required, only for scenarios and TT layers. The required DLCs for the Almtalbahn are: Semmeringbahn Salzburg-Rosenheim Dresden-Riesa Maintalbahn Mittenwaldbahn
Just FYI, the Almtalbahn Timetable has currently the following requirements: - "Almtalbahn" is the Master Layer and is required for every other layer. Requirements are Maintalbahn, Salzburg-Rosenheim, Mittenwaldbahn, Dresden-Riesa, Semmeringbahn and the ÖBB 5022 repaint. - For very few shunting services with the BR 204 you obviously need the DB BR 204. - The Westbahn Layer requires Luzern-Sursee for the Flirt. - There are a few ICE trains with the BR 411 from Frankfurt-Fulda. This route is also required for a Nightjet and some freight trains with the Vectron. - There are even less IC trains and a few "D"-trains which use the BR 101 Expert. - A few special train services require Stuttgart-Heilbronn and the DBB BR 194. The BR 194 is also used for static stock at Wels. - In terms of static stock, Hamburg-Lübeck also adds some trains to Wels. - There are a lot different freight train layers. The only really "new" requirement for some is the Railpool Vectron. - You also need a lot repaints: ÖBB 4024 Expansion, ÖBB Eurofima Expansion, Austria BR 204 Livery Pack, ÖBB Freight Wagon Pack, Stadler Flirt Expansion, Westbahn Flirt, ÖBB 1293, MAV/ZSSK IC Coach Pack, ÖBB Railjet Reskin. Please note that those requirements are not final and are subject to change or expansion.
Here's again a little new roadmap to share https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/u...epherd/community/101-freddies-roadmap-2872026 ------ Freddie's Roadmap! - 28.7.2026 Hey everyone! Time for a brand-new roadmap! As always, there's a lot to cover, so there's something for everyone Unfortunately, there's no further Almtalbahn update this time, but be sure to check back in the future – we're working hard on it. Before we begin: Set yourself a reminder for this Friday, because you might already be able to get your hands on one or two of the things presented here! First up, the new and exciting mods: ÖBB 1016 / 1116 EP - FTS x Prototype001 - Coming Friday! This project originally started out of boredom, but it has grown into something much bigger over time. A lot has changed: new liveries, display improvements, a brand-new MFA, and smaller additions such as unfoldable mirrors. Of course, that's not all. We're incredibly proud of this project and can't wait to show you all the changes! Changed and added: Around 40 new liveries, including the ESC 2026 livery, which was showed earlier this year, various Railjets, Rail Cargo Austria locomotives, advertising liveries, and much more! Display Lighting Feature – The displays now illuminate at night instead of looking like printed paper. 2 new display functions. The clock, accessible by pressing UD, and the interesting Audio Test screen, which can be accessed via the Audio button. Have fun discovering the hidden little features! Extendable mirrors (reflections may follow in a future update) A completely new MFA for each variant with individual changes depending on the selected system and door system Various smaller improvements such as new decals and a nice little Easter eggs^^ ÖBB 4024 Expansion Pack - FTS x Friends - Coming Friday! The one you've all been waiting for! The 4024 in all its glory. Countless new liveries, updated cabs, and much more are waiting for you! I'm incredibly proud of this project and can't wait to finally show it to you! So, what's new? Salzburg–Rosenheim, S-Bahn Vorarlberg, and the Semmeringbahn have all received new, matching liveries. Cityjet, S-Bahn, regional liveries (e.g. Upper Austria, Salzburg, Tyrol, and many more), as well as advertising liveries. Both the 4023 (Salzburg–Rosenheim) and the 4124 (Semmeringbahn) have been added with their own customized driver's cabs (provided by Swing Swong) Immersion is important to me, so advertisements, Railaxed magazines, and passenger information displays for the Cityjet variants have been added to the interior. Cameras! CCTV inside the driver's cab in collaboration with Evolinox Many new MFD pages, including configuration and maintenance screens. Updated sounds – a new startup sound, a new macro (provided by Maggus, thank you!), and new aggregate sounds. New lights? Redstoneia worked some magic and created brand-new lights for the 4024, making the unit look great even at night. Substitution for the appropriate routes and regional liveries. Guard Mode, for when driving gets a little too boring (only avaiable on modded-TTs) Semmeringbahn Scenery EP - Coming Friday! A completely new project, not announced or leaked ever before. In coorporation with Nimaexus ' SBN 2026 TT, I decided to work on a scenery Enhancement Mod which adds many neccessarey details to the route and it's stations - again with some cool things that have already been in the SRM Scenery EP^^ The following has changed for this route: The scenery has been improved along the entire route. New route maps have been placed all along the line – can you find them all? Updated station signs in Wiener Neustadt, Gloggnitz, Payerbach-Reichenau, and Mürzzuschlag. Missing 3D models have been added, especially in Payerbach-Reichenau. Older ÖBB platform displays have been added to Wiener Neustadt and Mürzzuschlag. Thanks to TaurusCB for the models! Departure boards and various other ÖBB station assets have been added to several stations. Forest density has been adjusted. Südbahn Museum in Mürzzuschlag has been added. Period-accurate construction sites have been added along the entire route. Trust me, I would've preferred not to do that. Updates? Updates. These projects have received some extra polish and love: ÖBB 5022 - Released! Once again, the 5022 has received some updates. But what changed? Display lighting brightness adjusted. Advertisements have been replaced. ÖBB 1293 - Released! A new member has joined the Vectron livery collection. But which one? Added the "Vectron Nr. 2000" livery [1293 164-0] Projects with no new updates to share but still in development: Almtalbahn Salzburg-Rosenheim Scenery EP Eurofima Expansion Update *and more... That's it for all the changes and exciting new mods. Stay tuned for upcoming updates! Are you looking forward to anything in particular, or do you have any suggestions for improvements? Feel free to leave them in the comments! *Written with love by Prototype001 - Thank you!^^
Wow, Friday is going to be a day to look forward to!! Thank you so much for all your hard work!! FreddieTheShepherd & Co
I wonder when the Timetable for the Semmeringbahn releases from this "Nimaexus" Guy... Anyway, your projects are always top of the notch. Looking forward for the realese on friday^^
FreddieDer Hirte, that really gives us something to look forward to on Friday. You’ve built some really cool mods there. I’ve got a question about the Semmeringbahn Scenery EP – isn’t there already a Semmeringbahn Scenery EP? Or was that one yours back then too, or do you have to delete the old Semmeringbahn Scenery EP first? Nimaexus, why don’t you tell that bloke Nimaexus to get a move on with his Semmering timetable.
We sadly never had an Semmering Scenery EP, that's why I'm really excited to see that Freddie let's the Semmering life up to it's full potential^^ I'm going to tell him, when I see him^^
Thank you so much for the hard work. The 4024 is so much better, just the sound upgrade alone. ÖBB 1116 is also great. It's a shame, Vorarlberg is missing a realistic timetable, having lots of traffic, including the Dostos and so on.
Sorry Dostos on the Semmeringbahn? I've never seen that. There are some double deck trains at Wiener Neustadt but those are no Dostos. Dosto is a more German named double deck train.
Fun Fact: In the morning two double decker Trains drive from Wien to Payerbach-Reichenau empty and then drive as the REX3 again back to Wien. So you could technically use the double decker on the TSW Semmeringbahn, but the place where it is really missing is Voralberg. But maybe there is something coming.
