Probably the same as everyone, more of the ECML, The Class 225 as well, but I doubt it, probably the leak or something to do with the new license. For germany, something around Berlin with ICE 4 ou Neo. And for USA, probably something about Northeast Corridor, has pretty solid routes to work on. I’ve read some good guesses too. Let’s what the future brings us

As long as if they want to revisit Canada and figure out who and what will license in that country, I'm all for DTG NOT doing the US for the TSW7 launch route, even if it seems unlikely that will ever happen.

    Hasn’t the British one leaked?
Undoubtedly whatever marketing magic they do spin to captivate their audience, they will undoubtedly promise and promise and fail to deliver or fix anything. They’ll try and distract with a new feature or two that they’ll promise and fail to roll out to all previous DLC and it will fail to work with each update breaking the feature even more. Who doesn’t love countless door problems at each and every station and the same, boring TSR on every run with no reason why it’s there or MOM or PWay team pretending to look or fix a defective rail.

DTG Direct? More like DTG Drivel!

It’s so hard to positive with them, I’ll pop my positive pants on before heading to work for a loooong day flying

I desperately do want to be positive and there are parts of TSW which can be fun, like the epic journey from Scotland back to Eastbourne, though that has stalled a bit getting distracted as per my signature.

But without repeating all the hairy details, the state of the game, recent releases all seem to point to a company in a state of disarray which someone in a position of authority needs to clamp down on. Get some discipline and standards back in the operation.

I honestly think it'll be start of a new focus within TSW. As we've seen with London Midland Region, over the course of two years we've built up a roster of trains that gives TP developers the chance to make a section of the WCML and its branches because the stars of the show, the trains are already available.

We all used to moan about the lack of variety on some routes, now we have a fully immersive experience in the Midlands and North West.

I think this approach may have had a snowball effect because what followed was the entire English section of a mainline. In hindsight this feels like a deliberate strategy to maximise UK content releases. It wouldn't surprise me that TSW developers are switching focus elsewhere. Will the GWR be next for this treatment? ECML/North Eastern area is primed for more. Or are we going somewhere else? Back to Scotland, heading South West (with the new SWT license), out into Anglia region?

I can see a full-on 2 year cycle of releases that mostly involves DLC for one area but with a couple of variations (Like Medway & Riviera routes in the last year).

As long as we are putting our desires to what we would like to see, my personal preference for a U.S. route would be the completion of the NEC from Boston to Washington DC. Yesterday, I did an Acela run using train 2155 From Boston to Providence, then from Stamford to New York, then the same 2155 from New York to Trenton. While it would take two DLCs (Providence to Stamford and then Trenton to DC) it sure would be nice to be able to make runs that are most heavily used in RL, the NYC to DC. Completion of the section from Providence to Stamford would most interest me since it would include New London, Ct where I spent 4 years attending the USCG Academy and the New London station was my escape when I would get away - usually for some weekend liberty in either Boston or NYC (and those sorties best left for different forums :) )

In reality, it would most likely take 3-4 more DLC's to complete the NEC. Even on TSC, we only got Baltimore to DC as a single route. So I doubt DTG would even attempt to make a route from Trenton to DC (A length of about 166 miles)

And with how they cut the current routes (Stamford and Trenton) it makes for very odd route start/stop points unless DTG does overlap or extends a route.

One thing is for sure if rivet made the ecml out of kings cross we wouldn't have much trouble with out of memory or blurry textures ,there wouldn't be enough rolling stock on the route ,(ps, rivets rendition of the real life timetable , typically driving the route and passing two trains between kings cross and Peterborough lol)
    Sorry it's a joke couldn't resist

Yeah, I agree Trenton-DC has to be split in two sections and Philly is probably the logical spot. I think three sections would be hard to justify or market (Philly-Baltimore, especially, is quite dull). I'm not familiar with the Providence-Stamford section tbh.

Commuter rail has to be in these cities in some form, though, or the whole drive will be a ghost town. SEPTA has never played ball on licensing before (can't speak to MARC or DC Metro), but have been having severe budget issues so maybe it would be worth another try.

I'm personally fine with them being unbranded if that's what it takes, but i know that's a deal-breaker for some people.

not really realistic, more of my wishlist :D :

UK - I love big starting/endpoints, so anything interesting with London or some such major hub is welcome... and pls 75 mph or more :) or around that... maybe sth with this beautiful orange demon?

US - South Shore Line, should include Chicago Union Station... maybe new Acela... but any good passenger stuff is welcome... but with safety systems properly implemented, pls

Germany, ehm, Austria pls - anything Vienna-centric... either to St. Polten, Wiener Neustadt or some S-Bahn route... Stammstrecke at least Meidling - Floridsdorf... as for trains, Desiro ML and maybe new Stadler trains :D ... and properly done Taurus with Wiesel/CityJet dostos and cab car :) ... maybe RailJet finally as a post-launch DLC :)

if we get Czech Republic, pls sth that is mainline and with proper safety systems and MIREL :)

    Vienna, pllls :D

I am 99.99% convinced the main TSW 7 UK route will feature either Waterloo or Newcastle.

Surely by having two guesses, that lowers the percentage to a 49% chance (with a few extra decimals in-between!), of one or the other?! ;)

Rivet were spotted last year making reference trips in the South West... Anyone spotted anyone them this year? (I jest of course!)

Us UK Commuters of a certain age knew how to slam train doors shut, we also knew the exact speed at which we could step off the train before it stopped (anything less than 15 mph), we also slowly learned how to open those incredibly tough door openers from within the train and we didn't need a yellow line to tell us to stand clear of the approaching train because you would have been hit by an opening door.

This was only 20 years ago! And that's not even mentioning the whiplash you got when running in multiple as there were no computer-controlled traction control resulting in a very jerky ride at times. The windows that were fairly easy to fall out of or the smoking carriage.

I'd love to experience it all again in TSW.

If you didn't slam our UK train doors they wouldn't shut properly. Which would lead to longer dwell times and "open door incidents" that cause delays at best, train collisions at worst. So quite the opposite in fact. Not slamming the door was impolite and rude and potentially dangerous.

i hope where ever they go they provide all users with a free air conditioning pack as part of the deluxe edition so we are not simming out this next heat wave playing in our shorts and under crackers, sweating off our.... well... :). still not got stuck into WCMLps with the heat recently with south facing room with the sun on it 8-10hours a day and a pc throwing out 27-30c heat. no chance

north wales coast may be a route we could see at some point although who and how to do it would be interesting to see

I doubt i would the the flagship route for tsw7 i reckon it will come on later after release. Most of the flagship Uk routes are high speed intercity routes.

True, though I still think the Airedale/Wharfdale lines if actually coming it'll be for a future TSWx DLC. While it's true Riviera isn't high speed and also perhaps not connecting 2 big cities, it's still a section of a UK mainline so closer to prior core routes than Airedale.

Just seen ATS made that line with a 333 for TSC, not long ago I think, so perhaps they'll bring it over to TSW later on.

I still like my idea that TSW developers have landed in the Eastern Region for the next product cycle.

ATS - Airedale and Wharfdale Lines to Leeds/Neville Hill depot. Classes 158 & 333.

DTG Remaster Series - Brighton to Victoria with Class 700s up to Croydon. (Not Eastern Region)

DTG- ECML Extended taking the mainline up to York & Leeds with an early days of LNER timetable including a Class 91, IETs and HSTs and JT's Class 321 in Northern Livery.

Just Trains - GEML London to Ipswich backdated to the early 2000s with Classes 86/90/321. Class 312 in development

AABS - Some of the rural lines in Norfolk/Suffolk with a Class 755.

    Firefly - C2C with class 357 - Class 720 in development.

Rivet - Edinburgh Commuter - Berwick to Edinburgh (plus branches) Class 91/380/385\

Incredible Trains - South West London lines - Waterloo to Staines/Windsor & Eton including Brentford loop and Strawberry Hill depot. (Again something for non-Eastern region fans). SWT timetable with a mixture of 455s, 707s and SWT branded 350s converted into 450s.

There TSW7 UK content sorted. I should get a bingo card made up for Dovetail Direct.

That would immediately become my favourite DLC (provided it was blur free).
