not recent and/or good routes anyway. A proper German dedicated high speed route was long overdue. So far it looks they succeeded in delivering that.

fair price for a good product it seems. i’ll probably get this on friday or saturday once it’s confirmed if the unthinkable happens on this route too. i’ve got all 3 ICE variants, so this route provides a few different experiences for those in the same boat; its not always just 300kph the whole way; the ice 1 is limited to 280 and the ice T is limited to 230. the s bahn is a nice addition too, i would’ve liked to see the talent 2 get some love as well but its not a dealbreaker. been looking forward to this one and hopefully it’ll fulfill my expectations

ICE1 is 250km/h in service nowadays.

I do think this a good choice - in contrast with some other high speed routes, there is some regular running through stations too. And the fastest ICE run possible.

Perhaps I haven't noticed it before because it's little more than a footnote, but do Dovetail usually refer to Route Hopping when it comes to routes with no connection to any others? I can only think of it in articles about routes which link up with others.

Given the alleged leak of Würzburg - Nürnberg, could this be a subtle tease of what's to come? Inform see why else they'd randomly reference route hopping.

I had not seen this leak. I thought the only leak was that suspicious UK thing.

Sorry, what?! This is a bit far‑fetched, and the fact that Nürnberg has now been built doesn’t mean DTG can use it… It’s a TSG product, so I don’t know what this whole nonsense is based on.

The problem here is that in the announcement blog they talked about “route‑hopping”, even though neither end connects to any other add‑ons. So this rumour is based on a small mistake made by the blog writer. The only thing is that this is standard wording they use in almost every route announcement.

so it’s not a leak at all, likely just people reading into things too much. thanks for clarifying, i’d be surprised if that’s the route but if people have successfully predicted it then fair play

I'm looking forward to it, but I'm worried about whether it will work properly.
