not recent and/or good routes anyway. A proper German dedicated high speed route was long overdue. So far it looks they succeeded in delivering that.

fair price for a good product it seems. i’ll probably get this on friday or saturday once it’s confirmed if the unthinkable happens on this route too. i’ve got all 3 ICE variants, so this route provides a few different experiences for those in the same boat; its not always just 300kph the whole way; the ice 1 is limited to 280 and the ice T is limited to 230. the s bahn is a nice addition too, i would’ve liked to see the talent 2 get some love as well but its not a dealbreaker. been looking forward to this one and hopefully it’ll fulfill my expectations

ICE1 is 250km/h in service nowadays.

I do think this a good choice - in contrast with some other high speed routes, there is some regular running through stations too. And the fastest ICE run possible.

Perhaps I haven't noticed it before because it's little more than a footnote, but do Dovetail usually refer to Route Hopping when it comes to routes with no connection to any others? I can only think of it in articles about routes which link up with others.

Given the alleged leak of Würzburg - Nürnberg, could this be a subtle tease of what's to come? Inform see why else they'd randomly reference route hopping.

I had not seen this leak. I thought the only leak was that suspicious UK thing.

Sorry, what?! This is a bit far‑fetched, and the fact that Nürnberg has now been built doesn’t mean DTG can use it… It’s a TSG product, so I don’t know what this whole nonsense is based on.

The problem here is that in the announcement blog they talked about “route‑hopping”, even though neither end connects to any other add‑ons. So this rumour is based on a small mistake made by the blog writer. The only thing is that this is standard wording they use in almost every route announcement.

so it’s not a leak at all, likely just people reading into things too much. thanks for clarifying, i’d be surprised if that’s the route but if people have successfully predicted it then fair play

A somewhat trivial question, perhaps, but was this ICE running on schedule? Let us assume it was not which ICE still is these days? It is entirely possible that the timetable specifies a speed of 250 km/h, yet in the event of a delay the train may operate at up to 280 km/h to reduce the delay.

i might be wrong but i don’t believe that would happen. it’s not common practice to go above the regular speed to make up time

The thought of Wurzburg - Nurnberg doesn't excite me massively I must say - it feels like the kind of fairly nondescript German electrified mainline that people often (and often unfairly) accuse other German routes of being. The scenery is quite nice, and it has the usual mix of traffic, but there's nothing particularly exciting or quirky to recommend it.

I'd like to see something different with Germany, maybe an S-Bahn network, or another cross-border route, or something mountainous, or retro, or busier, or coastal, or something...

Why is the 401 As Layer available?
I think on This Route is only the 402 and not 401

There's definitely been ICE1s on this route - mostly replaced by ICE4s now, but ICE1 is a decent substitution. There's also plenty of ICE1s for AI at Nurnberg.

The ICE 4 should layer into this Route and replace the other trains when he comes out

This. Really cannot see the appeal at all of this route, even at a subsequent sale price. As I've said before, TSW is awash with nearly identical routes and trains and this IMHO adds nothing to light the LAMPOIL.

To me, LAMPOIL is satisfied by

A partial high-speed, partial normal line experience (albeit a short run on normal lines), which is more fun than a pure high speed run IMO
The chance to run ICE3s at 300k.

Won't be a day 1 purchase for me (almost nothing is these days), but I can see myself playing it more than Kassel-Wurzburg.

I will decide after the stream today. It is weird to end this in Ingolstadt, but I am very curious about this route.

Just that this route never tried to follow the LAMPOIL as it originally was made by a solo dev in the public editor.
Also what recent other rolling stock is identical to the MüNEx?
DTGs 101 is years old same as the TSG Expert one who now passed the 2 year mark so you cant call it repetetive.
There has never been a 300km/h german route or 200km/h RE services either so i wonder which route it could be compared with?

In the end calling a route pointless just because it doesnt fit your preferences is unfair to the developers.

That LAMPOIL thing is an internal business case assessment for DTG content. This is a TSG route. It’s not relevant to players or even to the developers in this case. Even if it was, this route would pass with flying colours. It’s high speed and modern so it will sell well. Business case approved. €€€.

Well all I can say is good luck to those who are looking forward to the route, but it's not for me and I'll wait for the Heidelburg steam route or someone to do the Obereruhrtalbahn! :)

The 102 with Skoda Dostos or the ICE 4 would fit better for This Route.

I’m only really concerned with how it performs on PS5 and whether it gets the full timetable and these are questions to be answered at a later date plus I would likely only buy this in a sale further down the line like most routes. That might be a longer wait than usual with it not being a DTG route but I can wait these things out. I’m certainly not well off enough to be able to afford buying everything at release prices. I’ll be checking out the live stream to see what the route is actually like but more high speed German routes are very welcome in my collection, especially after one of them was recently ruined with a poor remaster.

Take it easy with the requests (User DB628), there's a process to follow.
First, they create an ICE and sell it to you.
Then they modify it a bit (with the features required for TSW 6) and resell it to you.
Then, sooner or later, they'll sell you a "normal" ICE 4, after which they'll "insert" (for pay) it into another path with the features required for the next edition of TSW, and so on.
I'm not sure if I explained myself well...

Maybe they are now into the early part of 20th century and are using LAMPELECTRIC, perhaps soon, using LAMPLED

loved the design and the idea, but the whole thing was a big failure for Skoda... DB even tailored next competition in a way so another similar failure wouldnt repeat... not like Skoda is complete s..., but their quality standards are clearly not German :D

Allegedly there was a leak alongside the UK route for a US and DE route, as I indicated above.
My speculation is based on the fact that route-hopping, to my knowledge, isn't mentioned unless a route connects to another - and thus it is curious that a route which is allegedly going to connect to another is the exception to that rule.

I certainly haven't pulled it from my own imagination, it's based on what I've been told.

Yeah there is nothing more then typo about route hopping far it's fetched to make any conclusions about this. But we will see.... I have that feeling that nearly every strange or odd is a leak at the moment.... Bit overhyped..

Seemed like everyone on the stream had the same questions! Matt was unusually candid about the situation - stating that he hates the passenger system.

The main root is 90km, the extension to Feucht adds a couple more km.

Perhaps a unit error. 90 km is about 55 miles.

Just some notes from the stream:

    Journey durations
    - ICE 3 (BR 403) - 28-33 minutes
    - RE 1 (Münex) - 43 minutes (a couple longer ones 47-56 minutes, which likely waiting for an ICE to overtake), plus some 3 minute depot moves.
    - S2 runs - 16 minutes, some S3 runs at 10 min (route splits after Feucht), not entirely sure why they would have different run times

Other trains pictured in the timetable:
    - BR 111 and Wittenberger Cab car (for Allersberg Express runs, predecessor to today's S5 - hopefully we'll see the timetable in Monday's German stream)
    - BR 185.2 (freight runs are only Nürnberg <-> Feucht)
    - BR 294 (was not mentioned what it's for)
    - ICE T (411)
    - ICE 1 (401)

    Static stock pictured at Nürnberg
    - BR 612

Odds and ends that'll be looked at later and/or fixed soon
    - Stop times at intermediate stations on the RE 1 - they are currently auto-generated and will be fixed to be :00 on the minute rather than weird seconds
    - Some announcements are missing / not done on the BR 403, was not clear what the problem is, but sort of sounded like perhaps the final stop announcement or starting announcement setup was not working correctly.
    - The 442 situation - was mentioned repeatedly that they'd like to do something about this as a future patch, or a "duplicate timetable" that supports the Dresden-Leipzig one or something; reading between the lines I sort of hope some new TSW7 feature will clean up the vehicle variants and make route-specific branding easier.
    - Train line starts turned off in the Münex cab car; will be patched to be on by default.

    Scenarios notes
    - One with freight
    - One with a top speed of 360 km/h

After watching the stream I can say, good looking route, great sounds on the ICE and the IC cabcar is nice. But, the type of services like short ICE run and only 16 minutes S-bahn run in a old train and only the old BR 101 included, will not do it for me.

Only the 101 is included is not correct.... The 403, RE200 cabcar and the 101 are included. So i dont't understand you're point of view here.... Besides... The RE200 cabcar and the coaches are completely new or minimal re-used.

I'm not basing my speculation on that bit in the article, it's based on the alleged leak with the article seeming a bit strange as a result. I'm not just spinning that one part of the article baselessly.

And with that I mean, only the old one from HRR, not an updatet version. I did mention already the sounds of the ICE and the cabcar in the same post, so it was quite logical I did not ment there was just one loco included with this DLC.

The question is where and when said leak even appeared.
Did this someone show any proof on why this leak is true?
We now had other leaks for a potential UK route with each of them being based on screenshots, files etc.
I dont want to know what it said just if its trustworthy.

Sorry i misunderstanding you're message then...
The 101 has also some updates. Not that big but they have done it to the 101. They have done preparations for the RE200 coaches and cabcar.
