For information, we can now complete all scenarios, i have done it, including "Can you fix it" and "A bit of shunting part 1" I playing on Xbox.
PS5 Pro Since the map was released, there is only one place where the texture on 843 is slightly blurred, it is noticeable at the lane transition on the side, whether on the cream or blue, and that is the area of the platforms in Liberec. As soon as you drive slightly off, everything is leveled. It always happens. And even different settings, even HD or turned off substitutions, do not help in this at all ...... interesting
Out of curiosity I've decided to drive CD 843 DMU with EDB off and found out, that switch on the driver desk's right console, which marked as "Electrodynamic brake", doesn't do anything with EDB, is it realistic or another issue?
Platform: PS5 Pro This route crosses the line from video game DLC into a work of art, and it's truly a masterpiece. I'm only 9/63 through the journey so far, and I can't say enough good things about this route. Both locomotives are a pleasure to drive. The scenery is immaculate. The vibes while driving up and down the mountains are some of the best in the game. I particularly enjoyed the lengthy "Swimsuit Weather" scenario that I completed over the weekend. This is up there with Mittenwaldbahn as one of the best (if not the best) routes in the game. I consider this route to be a must-own for any TSW player. Thank you to the development team for bringing this masterful experience to TSW!
On PS5 it seems that the Livery Substitution is broken in Timetable mode. 750s always spawn in Green livery without the yellow stripe. 843 always spawns in Red-Beige with old headlights style. Passenger wagons also only in Red-Beige livery. Same goes for the EA Freight wagons, only the brown coloured are spawning now, the green and blue one cant be seen. Would be great to get all liveries back.
There is an answer to this on the VS Discord: "Přepínač na pravé straně pouze omezuje záporný tah na 30 %. pro vypnutí edb je potřeba dojít na 1. stanoviště a vypnout ho na zadní stěně" - The switch on the right console is just for limiting EDB power to 30 %, for turning EDB off you need to go to the1st cab and turn it off on the back wall. Sorry for my english
I just got the ZKI2 Shortcircuit in bogie 2 circuit error message and my service is ruined. The official manual only lists this error, but says nothing about how to fix it. This the number one most stupid thing that happened to me ever since I play TSW since 2021.
You just fried the electric motor. There was a short circuit in the electric motor armature. That's why it says maximum power 80%. All that's left is to take the motor out of service and crawl to the depot.
Where does it say that? Haven't seen anything in the manual about that. This fault seems to be completely random. If it was me who caused it, I would have to cause it again after restarting the service and driving the train pretty much exactly the same way. My first error right after departing Liberec was something about battery not charging, then some other issue preventing dynamic braking and than in the next station near Jablonec all traction gone with no way to fix it. I mean there's realistic and there's entertaining. In my opinion receiving this fault might be realistic, but it's definitelly not entertaining for me as a player. As is not being forced to wait & do nothing for 20-40 minutes in Turnov.
This inscription can be found on the driver's control panel on the left side. It says "!!! To eliminate jumps on TM, do not exceed 80% PT !!!". Power car 843 is an expert train. This electric motor failure is caused by an electric current jump on the motor armature. It is mainly caused by carbon dust pollution. You need to fully concentrate on driving the train and monitoring the instruments. For me, it is the best locomotive in the game.
OK, thanks for the explanation. Interestingly I already did drive a couple of services, of course using full power. and nothing ever happened. If it happens again, is there a way to do something? Like at least turn off some circuit breaker and finish the service, maybe even with half the power?
The 843 railcar has two engines. For this problem, it will be enough to turn off the engine where the fault is found. The Engine Control switch is used for this. This controls both engines. Then turn off the dynamic brakes. They will not work with one engine. And continue with one engine.
It is an expert DLC, so overheating of engines depends also on stuff like weather, on warm summer days it will overheat easier. I recently did a nice full stopper run with 843 with a traction/brake profile I am very happy about, it may be interesting to watch for people who struggle with driving it. You can watch the demanded traction and braking effort on the display and see how I am using it for smooth and economic ride. Yes, you may run 1-2 minutes late on some intermediate stops if you slack too much, but that's exactly why there are stations with extended stands as in reality, to catch back up to time. It's just relatively weak motor car and you have to accept that it takes a while to get up to speed (especially when pulling wagons). There is no reason to keep flooring it, that will only ruin the engines; that's not only 843, but applicable to all trains overall. Generally using maximum power increases wear significantly and is not recommended, in many locomotives the maximum throttle steps were even mechanically unlinked from the levers to avoid engines running at 100% output. If you drive with care, you shouldn't run into many faults overall, sole exception being "EDB nenaběhla" (electrodynamic brake failed to apply) which frequently displays if you needed to reapply brake soon after releasing it. That's more an info notice, the motor car will use pneumatic brake to compansate for it.
I have totally missed out on this warning lol... tho I have never managed to fry a motor, and I gradually always got to 100% lol
These are interesting details from the operation of these trains. If you are interested in the 750 locomotives, the 7th power stage must not be used. There is a high thermal load on the exhaust pipe and turbocharger. The exhaust pipe had a tendency to crack. The engine suffered from torsional vibrations at high speeds. This caused degradation of the bearings.
So that basically means notching it up from 6 straight to 8 right ? Or can 7 be used temporarily still ? Is that actually mentioned in the Manual or is that just personal knowledge?
This is an operational experience. This is a recommendation for these locomotives. It will probably not affect anything in the game. The last gear is not used on these locomotives for the reasons stated. This is an interesting fact about the operation of these locomotives.
At least I haven't had any problems when using 7 or 8 in game, so probably not represented in Game. Thx anyway, its an interesting bit to know and would also be quite challenging to drive some heavy freight trains with only notch 6 of power. I may be trying that eventually.
Flashing train number means you are not logged into the radio. To log in, press hardkey 8 (DATA) and hardkey 0 (arrow aiming into a square).
