said it when it was announced and stand by it, but not going all the way to munich is a mistake IMO. also whilst LZB is an ingenious system but doesn't make for a great gaming experience where all you do is tap the SIFA acknowledge button every minute or so and this is just going to be a shorter kassel-wurzburg route basically. i'll consider getting it when it goes on sale or if it's part of a package when TSW7 comes out but won't be a day 1 for me. i'll watch the stream to see if it changes my mind but i doubt it will
Well, I just hope that someone has tried it on PS5 or on a console in general ........ but given the extensive layering structure, and not everything is mentioned there, the additional maps are not exactly dietetic ....... In Stuttgart-Heilbronn, more vehicles were subsequently added to the base map, especially the S-Bahn .... why isn't it implemented here too? .........
We now know about the ICE and Talent trains, but what I’d be interested in is the following. What other locomotives or trains will be included in the timetable?
To give some positive feedback amidst all the moaning and doomsaying: At first I was interested, but not too hyped about the route since all the highspeed stuff isn't my cup of tea very much... Now I consider buying it right on release I've never been a fan of the 403 ingame and don't use it much (if at all) so far, but seeing how much has been done with it, my curiosity has been piqued! Big thanks to cwf.green and everyone who worked on all that! Also the München-Nürnberg-Express will add some uniqueness to the route. On the other hand it's a shame that its rolling stock can't be used properly on any other route. Any opportunity to use the IC cab car is a welcome one though I'm also curious about the mention of route hopping... in my eyes that hints heavily to one of the TSW7 core routes being set in this area, which i wouldn't be totally against *Fingers crossed for Nürnberg-Pegnitz* *Or even Nürnberg-Marktredwitz* *Or perhaps even Nürnberg-Cheb? Hey, let me dream here*
I hope the 147 gets fixed... they fixed the traction lock bug, but the AFB bug is still there (y know, AFB should hold a certain pressure on brakes, equivalent to loco brake, which does only release upon applying power; even if train/e-brake are in release and doors are closed, which currently doesnt happen... unless 147 works like that, I consider it a bug)
nah, too much bother, turning it on and off and on and off etc. every time I want to run this ... so I will rather find some chill time when I am well rested, open manual, open spreadsheet with Brh calculator, run a service, enter photo mode to count coaches etc... make calculations, set up train (and hoping I get it right)... and then praying to train gods I wont get some difficult fault to fix for me the most fun about the expert loco are these things: 1) calculations, entering data 2) realistic setup 3) realistic behavior of brakes, AFB, everything, as it should be aka having proper, fleshed-out machine without usual shortcuts... and I know I could turn chaos factor to 0, but where is the fun in that lol I really should have that manual printed out to have it handy
The route presentation left a good impression. Overall it seems very close to real world. Unbelievable that one guy did this from scratch. My only criticism is the surroundings of Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof: To the north: 1. The second hotel tower visible from all platforms is missing. 2. Pillenreuther Tunnel and with it the view of the historical old town is missing 3. The lift at platform 1 is missing To the south: 4. The modern buildings on the former Heumann Pharma and Diehl factory area are missing 5. The distinctive pyramid like building to the south of the platforms and Hotel Loew are amiss. You guys gave the impression in the stream of knowing Nuremberg, how did this go amiss? Others than that, the rolling stock, the route give hope for Nuremberg and Munich reestablished for tsw in the future and being able to travel to Frankfurt Main. Thanks so much. Kind regards.
After watching the stream it seems like the standard 101 was not updated. So i guess from my understand it will have the old lighting system no suspension or announcements unless you drive from the cab.
i wonder if one of the TSW7 'routes' will be just to extend this to munich like they did with dresden-leipzig...
Munich to Ingolsdst would be it's own route, a great route at that. Munich is way to big an dense to "join" with this one.
No freight on the high speed bit at all (except one scenario), the driveable services are on the local lines between Nürnberg and Feucht.
I am very disappointed. High-speed routes don't really interest me; like others, I find them very boring. The S-Bahn aspect might have tempted me to buy this route, but certainly not with the 442, a train I already own on several other routes and never use. The camera is positioned terribly. It needs to be higher, like on the 423 and 430, so you can properly see the track and the stop markers. And what about that horrible sound, dating back years, that makes me want to quit the game after just a minute? It’s the sound that put me off the 442 and the ÖBB 4024. I don't understand how, in 2026, they can release trains with such poor audio—and not just the engine sounds, but also the track joint noises and curve squealing. However, there are trains with really good sound, especially for the UK. Why not reuse some of those existing sounds for the German trains? The track joint sounds on most German trains don't sound like a train at all. There are developper specifically dedicated to audio, so how can they dare offer us such bad sounds after all these years? I am truly sorry for the developer of this route. He did an excellent job and doesn't deserve to have people complaining here. But I am truly disappointed with Dovetail. Seeing the BR 442—a magnificent train in real life—served up again on this route in such a poor state, in 2026, is unacceptable to me.
What a great route, and shout out to pilot21 and TSG for the hard work. I hope you'll continue with future projects with such great quality. I can't wait to play this route when it comes out!
It's a typo for sure, it says that "Schnellfahrstrecke Nürnberg - Ingolstadt brings true 300 km/h running to Train Sim World for the first time," though this is not true.
They will add this to the add on database upon release. It specifies both the layers and which DLC's are needed.
I was watching a stream from British Ace on YT and I was interested (he also noticed and commented) when arriving in Nuremberg with Münex, at least the first car behind the cabcar had the wheels on the chassis spinning incorrectly, the animation axis was obviously different
I will hope that the wheels have beeing fixed before release... In this video you see the wheels and they very strange on the RE200 coaches. They like eggs and not round like a real train wheel. https://jumpshare.com/share/xHz6z8zKBoxeJE2Dr9ff
ICE3 403 on Kassel Würzburg the RE200 has no other purpose then the München Nürnberg Express due to his branding.
Microsoft Store has improved, as it should, as the last two releases l have found within the first minute of release. It saves all the headache of constantly searching for an hour as before. Now l get to play the route in a couple of hours after the download finishes. Congratulations Microsoft and Dovetail, this is now a brilliant service.
Nice route ruined by the terrible 101 and 442 no suspension, horrible wheel blur. The coach wheels look egg shaped. Also there is no mastery for it thats if its getting one and in journey mode chapters are lock you cant play until the previous chapter is complete.
It’s a bummer to hear about the locked chapters! They had stopped doing that because all too frequently a broken service/scenario would prevent progression through the chapters. There’s only a handful of DLC that still have locked chapters. I’ll have to post the list sometime. It’s a shame that they backslid and locked the chapters of this new DLC! Can the chapters please be unlocked in a patch?
What did you expect? You yourself expressed your disappointment with the old 101 and this version of the 442 before. And you still bought it. This is of course up to you, but you did know upfront it would be this way.
Yes I know I was just making a statement I've got the expert 101 so makes it better. For those that dont feels like little step rather then forward. But hey we can have an opinion. Are enjoying the route ?
Sorry but expecting that everything is translated is a bit far fetched if you asking me. This is additional work the things that they have done for the 403 you can not compare that with the 145 Expert.
Very much so. Exactly what I hoped for, and no blurry textures, which is of course great. I do also hope they can improve the 442 a bit, that would make it even better.
I think i im trying to say is on this nice new shinny route with all the update features the old 101 and 442 kinda stick out like sore thumb. Also have tried the heads and tails scenario?
AFAIK, the 403 only has like 10 errors that can happen. Translating that 10 errors doesn't look like a huge amount of work to me, and it solves a major cause of annoyance to non-german speaking players. If they decide to do it or not is up to them. I just do my part by letting them know.
