When I reinstalled routes on my newer drive I did not put everything on. Recently I decided to install the Frankfurt U-Bahn II from Just Trains and it would not install throwing up an error I tried a different account on my computer and it installed without any problems Anyone else had this? I have but don't use Microsoft Edge
Something in that install certainly was trying to run Edge, although you don't use it that doesn't mean documents won't try and open in it. It is an extremely pervasive programme and doesn't like to go away. The specific reason it ran under a different account is because it needed, for some daft reason, to be run under Administrator levels. Everything horrible you want to know about Edge is on the net if you make a search, including the issue you experienced. John
Delete everything you can in the appdata\local\temp folder its all junk and can use quite a bit of space. The appdata folder is hidden by default and you wont be able to delete everything because some files are in use skip those and give permissions when asked. A similar thing happens with AP installers. HTH
Thanks John I asked JT and they said their installer uses Microsoft Edge during the installation Thanks Higgsy That might explain why my AP 319 pack would not install when I tried to do it a few weeks back
