Obviously I'd pressed all the switches to turn the AWS on, otherwise it wouldn't have been on at all and wouldn't stopped me without beeping

To me the HST is my favourite train to drive on this route, followed by the 150. These two units to me are far more responsive and do what they’re meant to do. A bit like an old bus.

Noticed that since todays update my level progress on the Class 150 reverted to 0. Anyone else having this issue as well?

This is the PC Steam version. That's the impression I got. Is there any difference between the 150-1 and 150-2 versions?

5A87 Paignton Reversal Part 1 results in a SPAD by something somewhere that ends your (already very short) run before you have even got to the siding location.

Has the issue with 150261 appearing everywhere been sorted?

As the TSW6 special edition was just on a big sale on Xbox, I decided to pick it up. Keep in mind I have only completed one service on the voyager so far and one service on the 802 back in November when the standard edition had a free trial. I'd say in general the riviera line is just okay, the section around Dawlish is very good and an enjoyable run, but in my opinion the section between Totnes and Plymouth is a complete snooze fest (obviously not the fault of DTG or rivet, just the nature of the route).

However by far the worst thing about this route is the blurry textures. I had no blurry textures between Exeter and Totnes, however the route was fully blurry between Totnes and Plymouth. It's a real shame that a good route is completely ruined by the textures looking horrible. At least the textures are fine in the cab but that's still not the point, even the timetable isn't particularly busy compared to other routes like SEHS which I have never had the blurry textures problem on so to have them included in this route is quite surprising. Even though blurry textures have been a problem before TSW6, it's a bit insane that nearly every TSW6 UK add-on has had this problem.

It's getting really annoying that so many routes just turn into mash potatoes when they have so much potential. It feels like blurry textures may as well be a game feature now that most TSW6 routes have them or allegedly have them like B2C, WCML Crewe-Preston and Trent valley.

A warning for anyone planning to play this:
    Platform: PC (Steam version)
    Journey Mode: "Running On Fumes"
    Train: Class 802
The issue occurs at the depot during the refueling sequence, where the fuel nozzle fails to operate correctly.
I finally managed to progress only after performing three physics resets and saving/loading the game twice.
The refueling task is ten times harder than the actual driving.
(I seem to recall encountering similar refueling issues on German routes as well.)

Also—though I was too angry to take a screenshot—
If you fail to attach the nozzle to the train, a single mistake causes something shocking:
The fuel nozzle starts to grow massively in size.
It becomes large enough to destroy both the depot buildings and the Class 802 train itself.
    It’s absolutely ridiculous.

    Class 150

    Xbox series X

Took the 150 for a drive in the other day for the first time in the while, one thing I did notice with the new sounds this game one the 150 is that the engine revs rise in pitch as the train gains in speed which is something that you wouldn’t hear until after 45MPH when the gearbox goes from Torque to fluid coupling, when you hear the distinctive rev drops.

it is kinda annoying for me as I ride on them a lot but I doubt that it’ll be changed/adjusted within the simugraph/sound system.

Thank you for your kind reply.
I actually happened to come across another user in a different thread who encountered it as well.
In my case, it was at Lier Depot. It was a massive balloon attraction—judging by the scale, it was the size of a hot-air balloon.

This appears to not be an issue in English.

So it seems to be an error in the French version.

On the XSX (TSW6) the trains are extremely loud (In this particular add-on), overpoweringly so, especially the class 150/2 when compared to other loud diesels.
So much so that I had to turn down the games sound effects slider quite a lot.

I also have a strange reflections glitch when looking down the train the trains reflective and the windows look dirty, when looking directly at the train side on, the reflections are only at the bottom of the train. I have the game in 4K too.

This can be demonstrated in this clip -
    Train Sim World® 6_ Free Starter Pack-2026_07_22-17_19_35
(Note this clip the games sound is turned down considerably due to the loudness expressed earlier in my post)

So I thought I'd finally pick this and the voyager up on the sale and I'm definitely glad I did, but I'm glad I waited for the price to come down.

    Positives
    • I actually do like the scenery it feels quite full and well done, it's not quite up to the JT and AAS level but it's still really good.
    • I like the announcements and they work in my experience.
    • The timetable has some really nice layering and Variety, it's cool to see the HSTs and the Steam stuff at Paignton.
    • I really like having to wait around for the faster services to come past. It's a nice little dynamic and gives you time in a run to explore the station
    Constructive criticism
    • The Blurring - This route has been the worst blurring route for me quite easily and I have been running WCMLOS with pretty much all layers. I get to Newton Abbott and the textures just get worse and worse. It's pretty bad. (I am running on 1080p and haven't got all layers unlocked either).
    • The audio in the cab of the 150 with the windows open feels too low for me, you can hear the popping of the audio too much. There needs to be a better mix for the external audio when the windows are open.
    • The 150 is also limited to 75mph which it says in cab, this isn't reflected in the timetable or the in game speed limits which is disappointing.
    • The dynamic weather is so frustrating. The routes scenery is one of the better ones! So let me see it! The amount of times it goes foggy in the journey mode is just really irritating.
Overall the route is really promising and looks great. I love the layers and the timetable, it's great to have somewhere else to run the HSTs. It's just let down by the amount of blurring seen. I really do want to add the HST farewell pack at some stage but that's going to make the blurring even worse.

Definitely worth the £12.99 I paid for the route and the voyager but I'm glad I haven't paid full price for this one.

    Also forgot this one!

At Newton Abbott you can walk through this fence and fall outside of the station. Thankfully there is a hidden climb up button to get back through that section but it's very easy to get stuck outside the station area.

Yeah I noticed the AP reset a while ago. Didn't notice it saying 150/1 instead of /2 though

    (Maybe a 150/1 is coming...?)

Ah that explains it. Thought I was going mad the other day when “used the horn” etc started popping up.

Well, a Northern 158 was mentioned/leaked months ago. Northern also operate 150/1s.

Could a Northern route with those units be on the horizon?

Also, it was slightly annoying to see my AP had reset.

After buying the TSW6 special edition a little while ago in the Xbox sale, last week I tried this route for the 1st time. I started with driving the Class 220 and I directly noticed the (to) loud exterior engine sounds. In cab the sound has popping audio sadly, but not to bad. From what I got, also the Class 150 has popping sounds, but didn't try that one.

The seaside has to be the highlight of the route, but the water textures are looking off and not very realistic in my opinion. I think it has something to with the coloring, especially the brownish tint makes it look weird.

Then the blurry textures, again a route ruined by it. I even don't have all layers, only the GWE ones. From what I read in this topic, the problem started after the GWE remaster. I don't know if the updated GWE trains are the issue, or the fact you now get 2 liveries for both trains, the green GWR and the 1st GW. As far as I know there is not option to disable the 1st GW livey, which is a shame, as it's not a fully licensed one and secondly it can be the cause of blurry textures on Riviera and GWE.

The route is in my opinion to short for the intercity services, but this is the case for a lot of routes. The service duration is somewhat saved by the low max allowed speed on parts of the route.

In the end, another dissapointment due the blurry textures and popping sounds and the water textures could be a lot better too. After the blurry textures on Leipzig - Dresden and now this route, I can only say, TSW6 is a huge let down, with no fixes after alsmost a year after release of those routes. The blurry textures thing is going on for almost 2 years now and DTG keeps releasing routes with this issue.

It's the modern route I play the most. It still bugs me though that we can't go under the bridge at Dawlish Warren but must either "teleport" or cross the line.

The 150261 bug is still apparent as well, almost a year after release.

Yeah, same at Exeter St. Thomas and Marsh Barton. As someone from the area, this is very disappointing! Much prefer the Medway Valley approach.
