Rivet have a historic back catalogue of awful content with WCMLS being an all time low in my opinion (how that ever got released in the state of did I'll never know)... But there was a positive change in direction from last year onwards with the quality of their content. Riveria Line & Stamford Line are actually really good, and there seems to be no back tracking with their quality. Rivet really have pulled their socks up so I don't have many worries or issues about them being outsourced to do the work on any DTG route for now. So I'll give them credit, where credit is due, they can only continue to get better.

I'd like to think that we wouldn't see a repeat of some of the stations on Cardiff Valley either and that lessons have been learned since then not to repeat such shoddy scenery.

One would hope that if it was the Northern route, that the Class 333 would have to have a sound recording trip completed to as it's not a generic sounding unit.

I suppose all shall be revealed to some extent on Tuesday evening.

Praying we do get the A&W, it's a perfect route for TSW, express and commuter with 4 different terminus's. The 333 (loyal to the A&W but also runs to Donny every odd time). If it's not the core OR on the cards I'll be very shocked.

I would hazard a guess at Multiplayer. I mean, an all new SP train sim is going to be exactly that - a reworked more of the same.

Either that or they are getting in on the transport strategy side of things, having seen the anticipation for TF3 and the interest in other titles such as Railroader.

Wilder cards, they have reworked OMSI 2. After Thomas, they are now doing Ivor The Engine…

I was responding to the “Something coming down the tracks…” from the Discord screen grab above.

If a romanian train addon developer is inviting their audience to watch the direct for something they made, I would certainly more expect them to do... a romanian train addon, rather than reworking OMSI 2 bus simulator developed by two folks in germany fifteen years ago.

Okay, I got the context completely wrong. I assumed it was something from a source within DTG.

    My bad…

To be honest I did as well, had no idea who Railforge is, assumed it was a dtg username. Got a bit excited that it could be a new sim,mp, or even a new editor. But the Romanian language should have made me realise...

DTG is British so the change they post something with the Romanian language would be very strange then

A Romanian route could be interesting then, particularly with one of their big, noisy, chunky old electric locos.

Well yeah fair enough they are seen to run to Donny alot more frequently throughout peak time while 6 car units take over the A&W. But theres always atleast 5 or more 333s running on the A&W.

Sounds interesting, but the quote 'it's going to change things around here' comes across quite ground breaking, i.e more than just a route and loco?

I would love to say they're finally switching their unreal engine but they need to first fix the millions of bugs they have before doing so.

It’s changing things for that developer, moving from developing for TSC to developing for TSW, that’s all. Don’t read any more into it.

I will say this below is purely from ChatGPT when I asked it what it thought the routes might be :

    ChatGPT-5.6 Luna
    My best guess would be:

    Region Prediction Confidence
UK Great Eastern Main Line: London Liverpool Street–Ipswich 30%
USA Pacific Surfliner: Los Angeles–San Diego 35%
    Germany Hamburg–Bremen 25%
The Pacific Surfliner is my strongest individual prediction. It would give DTG a different American experience from the heavily represented Northeast Corridor and New York area, while still offering a recognisable passenger route with a manageable length. It has also appeared repeatedly in community speculation. dovetailgames.com

For the UK, I’d favour the Great Eastern Main Line over Bristol–Cardiff or North Wales. It would fill a major gap in TSW’s British coverage, provide dense commuter services alongside longer-distance trains, and offer obvious opportunities to reuse or expand existing modern UK rolling stock. A London–Peterborough ECML extension is probably the safer commercial choice, though.

Germany is the hardest to call. Hamburg–Bremen would be the most interesting option because it could combine DB mainline traffic with S-Bahn operations, but Berlin–Stendal or Berlin–Frankfurt (Oder) may be more likely if DTG wants to build around a Berlin setting and a new ICE or S-Bahn vehicle. Berlin has reportedly been one of the routes considered by the developers, although that is not confirmation of TSW7 content. dovetailgames.com

    So my personal prediction is:

Great Eastern Main Line + Pacific Surfliner + Hamburg–Bremen.

My “most commercially conservative” alternative would be London–Peterborough + another Northeast Corridor route + a Berlin-area German route.
