Does Steam mention which version of the ICE 4 will come? Just the 412.12 version or also the 412.13?

 

I like how they wrote "Florida Tri-Rail" instead of "Miami - Fort Lauderdale." So you don't get disappointed too soon when you realize they're selling half of the route again.

That's very interesting! Looking forward to seeing what the UK content will be! Weird not to have any JT content in there this year but hopefully they'll drop us an update!

 

The price increased to usd49.99 for the standard edition.
And the ultimate edition basically includes tsw6 core routes. Was hoping for some of the dlc routes.

Seems like the main attraction of the Direct is the Take a Ticket route reveals now.

They seem to be using the same lighting/ini as Medway

 

I'm genuinely the most excited about DLSS 4.5 and FSR 4 so far. I dislike both anti aliasing options that the game provides by default, so this will be a big upgrade

I saw a screenshot that the class 333 was Deluxe edition only...... it's the main unit of the route !!

 

I gotta say the choice of Nürnberg-Würzburg as the German core route is expected, but rather underwhelming. I suspected that one since the mention of route hopping opportunities on the recently released SFS Nürnberg-Ingolstadt.
Yeah I get why it was chosen, to give more route hopping choices and as a flagship route for the new ICE 4, which so many fans have wished for.
But at the bottom line it's another pretty linear, double-track, electrified main route. That's getting a bit stale at this point

The more technical things like DLSS are more exciting in my opinion. I'll stick with the Free Starter Pack tho.
And I'm not totally against the prospect of a new Austrian route by TSG in the future

THE TRAILEE

 

First impressions are pretty good IMO

The Airedale and Wharfdale was to be expected and is my kinda jam.

Tri-rail had been speculated for TSW6 at one point IIRC. Always nice to see a new region and operator and two new locos (expect the F40PH is more of a remix of the existing ones). Was personally hoping for LIRR Port Jefferson but maybe that will be the second US route for TSW7 (kinda like New Haven was for TSW6).

ICE4 has been highly requested and Nurnburg-Wurzburg fills in a the gap to Kassel-Wurzburg (which also gets you to Frankfurt via route hopping). Should be able to do some epic ICE runs now.

Features: VERY excited for Freight Hauler- need to hear more details, but really hope they didn't half-bake this one!!!

Also for Live Weather- hope it's at least as good as the free TSW Route Annotations mod!

DLSS/FSR- FINALLY!

Slight disappointments- no mention of improvements to passengers, dispatcher, or TSRs (this one is especially undercooked IMO).

Overall pretty good though imo

 

I tuned in right after TSW was announced in the pre-show. But very cool it was there!

 

Looking at the trailer, I wonder if we are getting an LNER 800 - I see an Azuma driving with pans down towards the end of the trailer.

Well looks like I will not be purchasing any of the core routes for TSW 7 and will stick to the free starter pack. The length of the tri rail route is ridiculous in my opinion. The british route doesn't peak my interest and Im tired of the German routes to be honest

 

Because Gamescom had the exclusivity on the Trailer thats why. Thats also not everything whats in TSW 7 either, so as they say in the movies.... "Stick Around"

dtg_jan fyi the new website is nice but the "see more" links for the UK and German sections just dump you back to the main page. The US section seems to be working as intended.

They kind of blew the buildup with the store going live on Steam!

Florida is a pleasant surprise, has broken the monopoly of the NE, but on the fence about whether it justifies a £58 Deluxe purchase.

Airedale/Wharfedale, worst kept secret of the lot, proof of the pudding there will be what have Rivet done with the project. I also still feel it's a bit underwhelming for a keynote release even if the Rylstone branch is included. I'm guessing if we want an eventual Northern 158 for the Settle and Lancaster services, that will be an additional livery pack purchae.

German route leaves me cold.

So looking at the moment like I'll take the free update this time round and wait for a deep sale.

I'll go further personally, and say it's boring. IMHO. Boring, local Northern commuter route, with rubbish modern units again, just like the Electrosilents. No ambition to bring in anything groundbreaking or historical, no ambition for a new busy mainline. Just playing it safe, taking the dollar. I hope I'm wrong.

 

Its an odd marketing choice, but DTG always have aces up their sleeves.

So if the Steam page and website updating before Direct was intentional, then maybe TSW7 isn't the highlight of the direct. Is something else being announced?

 

Am I going crazy or does that say 801 920? Also the wrong pantograph is being used. LNER use the rear (unless it's different on Airedale and Wharfedale compared to the ECML)
